The Car

1) Numberplate - You or the Issue
2) Trunk - What you carry with you
3) Backseat - Your support (people from your past helping you)
4) Passenger seat - Persons aiding you right now
5) Glove compartment - What can guide you
6) Gas pedal - What do you need to do to get going
7) Steering wheel - Where are you going
8) Horn - What to look out for

Still working on it. Any suggestions to make it better?

That's a fun spread!

How about adding these two:

Trailer: What excess baggage are you still dragging along with you?
Bumper: What will protect you?

jema

Ah! The Bumper! of course!
Thanks for the suggestion.
Not too sure about the trailer though, perhaps the trunk can serve as that.

Was thinking of adding The Seatbelt - for what you cannot be without. But the bumper is better I think:)

And I don't even have a drivers license!

I love this--great metaphor and card positions!

Bumpers are famous for looking strong and crumpling under 5 mph hits--and costing $1000 to fix. Maybe a bumper could be "what you think is protecting you, but can't be trusted" and a seatbelt is "what tries to keep you safe."

Of course, you could go crazy with wa-ay too many car parts!

How about the "key"

The turning point in the situation.

jema

*LOL*
Going crazy is the right word, I was just sitting and having a cup of tea and thinking that I could add a brake too.
And then that if I wanted to I could probably use the whole deck in a car spread.

Since you're using the spread as a metaphor for life, I don't think you need to worry: no one has had lessons on how to live life, let alone passed a test and gotten a license for it... :D

if I wanted to I could probably use the whole deck in a car spread.

"The 78-card Car Spread--a vehicle and guide for your travels through Life"

Then you lay it out in a lifesized car :D

Okay, go!

Ros, I like the key idea.
I am not sure I can fit it in right now though, but perhaps I can rework it a bit and make a Car2 spread that is really huge:)

hehe, it would be like a SUV spread!

(not all the deck though...)

I love this! thanks for thinking it up. :)
