Aries and the 4 Wands

balenciaga

Hi
I am trying hard not to mix my rws and my thoth meanings - so I hope someone can help:
How does venus in aries work with the 4 wands? It seems like a contradiction to me. If 4 is a stable number (like a closed circuit), Aries is the new or even the headstrong, and venus is beauty, etc. - well, as you can tell, I am lost on this one.

The formula of the Tetragammaton may be involved with this card.

Four indeed represents foundations and solidity; however, in the formula of the Tetragrammaton (i.e., IHVH), the fourth letter, H, represents new beginnings. The first three letters are "spiritual" and are complete in and of themselves, while the second H represents the beginning of a new cycle on the material plane.

Thanks. So does the 4 wands signify the end of one cycle and the start of an entirely new one? Outside of this "box"?
Materially, that is.

As the fours are the first sephiroth below the abyss, then yes, I suppose so.

OK, thanks Lillie.
I guess it makes sense too if you think that the 4's cannot remain stable forever - the 5's will force a shift. Onward in increments towards the 10's. There is no where to go but up.
OK, Aries in this case now makes sense in my mind!
