Fab, Ros! - beautiful site. I'm looking up Switzerland as we speak. It's written that cards were banned in 1379...they forget to say how inneffective the ban was. The Swiss are fiendish card-lovers. In fact I wonder what they did with their spare time before cards were invented!! And I love the suits of Acorns, Bells, Flowers and Shields.

As you know I'm always interested in info on our "extra-ordinary" playing cards. but I have to say, our playing cards have been around much longer than 600years, check out these sites
