You could take alook at these freeware applications

TDiary
http://www.squasige.net/tdiary/ - nice easy little diary app (and you can store images in it!)

or

Keynote - another freeware notebook/organiser but a bit more complex

http://www.tranglos.com/free/keynote.html

no facility for images I don't think???

One called 'ItsPersonal' seems quite good but its shareware $19.99 but you can try it first for free (just google the word ItsPersonal to find it)

i looked at ItsPersonal and i liked how you can password protect it and everything but what i dont like about it is there are no tab links you have to search through them all and you cannot title it, it always is titled as the date. But i have yet to try the other two you have talked about. Thanks for the diaries and i am gladly looking into them!

*** Edit***

I have found a great liking to the first link that you have sent me... http://www.squasige.net/tdiary/ ... I like how you can create a folder for a certian spread, or notes and then for that spread i can write about readings i have had with ti in the same folder!!!! I am liking this Tdiary alot!!!!!!

**Thanks for all your help***

Josh, thanks so much for your question and your follow ups! I hadn't really even thought about doing this...I just have a paper journal in a three ring binder. But I am downloading the T-Diary now to check it out! It does sound very interesting and I love the idea of being able to keep images with the files. (thanks Milfoil for sharing this!)

Just a quicknote that the iJournal to which I linked is in fact a downloadable one that sits within one's hard drive, and does not require to be online, though this is also an option - and, for some, an advantage.

TDiary does not appear to be available for OS X (though I could not find a page that describes system requirements). A definite omission on their part.
