Persimmon Winter Divination/Old wives tale?

Barbaras Ahajusts

My sister just called on her lunch break to chat with me. We were talking about the weather up in Missouri, where she is, and in Texas, where I am.

Then she was trying to remember about cutting a persimmon, seeing a shape and forecasting the weather. I believe she said it was a knife her hubby saw when he cut it open.

Is anyone up on this folklore or is it a fact for some?

Wow Barb, this is fascinating. I have never heard of it, but here is an article I found about it.

And one more, here.

Wow also. I've never heard of this before. Guess I'll go to the store and test this out. We just got some snow lst night now how much more we're suppose to get I have no idea. I just hope that this winter is mild.

Oh Cool!
Thank you Satori!

I sent the links to my sister who could show them to her husband.

He's always teasing me about reading cards. Now I have something to tease him about. From now on, when I get to see them, I'm gonna pull out a seed for him to read, when he pulls out any card from his wallet for me to read! :D
Gawd, I love simple revenge! :D:D:D

I never thought to look in the almanac to find this out. Silly me! Thanks again, Satori!!!

Hugs,

Barbara
