What deck would you like to see be created?

Emerald,
I would like the portarit of LU(ci)NA Brembati by Lorenzo Lotto as the moon:
Lucina Brembati

I don't think that there are copyright restrictions of classical art (and anyway, if you are thinking about a deck for personal use, why do you worry about it?).
Your idea is good, and I think it could be an interesting project to carry on here on ATF: it's full of people that would be happy to contribute!

Oh I like that for the moon card. I have a bunch of images saved on my desktop for a deck like this and I was thinking of having them all printed as photos and going from there to creat a deck for personal use but I am not sure about how the people at the digital photo printing place would be about it re: copywrite as I think some of the pictures I have chosen just due to their fame are copywrited drat it :)

DoctorArcanus that is a great Lover's card.

I agree-what a perfect Lover's card that would make! There are so many great works of art, out there, that would be perfect for tarot, especially with so much symbolism already incorporated into the paintings.

While staring at the Fool of the Gilded Tarot, I realized I would absolutely love a masquerade deck, where everyone is dressed up, wearing a mask, to depict the meanings of each card. For example, Strength could be a woman dressed up in a lion's masque, Heirophant could be dressed up like a Pope, The Lovers could be a pair dressed up as Romeo and Juliet, but in masque, etc. Masquerade Tarot. Tarot of the Masque. Yep....I want one! Now I am hoping one of the famous tarot artists is reading this and will do a deck! Rich colours, too. Detailed, but tasteful, like the Gilded. With a matching bag.

FaerieStorm

A Wizard Tarot

Wizards are one of my favorite "things" (for lack of a better word); a Wizard deck that is fully illustrated and is very realistic and detailed (much like the fantasy calendars and Leanin' Tree greeting cards are)--much like Luis Royo, Brian Froud, or the DruidCraft Tarot. This could be the best deck ever--for me.

The Tarot de La Rea by Alan Bocher may very well be what you are looking for. All of the people and even the animals are wearing or are represented as masks. The colors are rich, and the cards are edged in gold. An incredible deck!

Chronata, is that your deck? I love it! That is exactly what I am looking for! I love them! Now I need to read through that whole thread to see as many images as I can. They are absolutely fantastic-so much colour and creativity-very drama oriented, with a mixed feel of whimsy and the ancient all wrapped in one! Gorgeous cards!

Cerulean

Tuscan with earth tones...oh, the Leonardo Da Vinci deck

Has some of this:

2. I agree with the color tones, although perhaps more golden vignettes as well...and the Tuscany Italian style suggestion for subject.

I would like to see a Tuscany (Italian style) flavored deck made....Since watching Under the Tuscany Sun..I've been addicted to this style.

2. Greek Tarot...I enjoyed what was said earlier. Perhaps with those beautiful blue-sea, soft green, mellow and bright ceramicware colors with that chalky white...and different elements of the paintings, not just a single focus on Etruscan or Grecian Urn remakes!
