yes lol I'm thinking about the cream coloured book, we'll need it.

Actually I don't know one from the other so I'll be watching your replys. All I know that when I looked at the books one was cream colour & I'm debating whether to pick it up also or just start with the threads on here about Thoth.

Lon Milo DuQuette's book on the Crowley Thoth is excellent. He is well versed in the same magic and traditions that Crowley followed and he writes well. He is a magician and has written several very good books, including one on Thelemic magic.

As in another thread you mention getting the deck, I would also personally suggest that, irrespective as to whether you also obtain others, Crowley's own book be obtained...

TemperanceAngel

Are there two Crowley books, or am I just confused

... there are more than two.

I would first suggest
  • The Book of Thoth

I found Crowley's own work The Book Of Thoth to be quite difficult to grasp. Ofcourse, I do not mean that it is difficult to hold it... but rather to understand. Crowley has an annoying habit of making everything sound so dramatic and complex. Yes, the Thoth is a complex deck, but I would advise an easier book for the beginner.
