Yes, these are generally known as the Viennese Coffee-Cards. I discovered them over a year ago - confirming a supposition that the Lenormand cards and even the Game of Hope were influenced by earlier coffee ground images and interpretations. Huck has found some earlier German coffee-ground meanings that also support this. Even though there are some variations in the number of the cards and their images, the meanings in this text are almost identical with the earliest Lenormand card text.

This is brilliant, I am so impressed at the strong moral flavour of the mottoes on the cards and the way that the book is written. I suspect, especially given the introductory page of the book, that the cards were written to specifically to take away the 'dubious character' of fortune telling and use the cards to reinforce the soundest principles of taking the high road in any situation. Thanks for this kwaw!
