Fantastic Menagerie Study Group

I just took this beautiful deck out and had some fantastic readings last night testing on a friend over the phone. The imagery and artwork is well...Fantastic! I love the animal pictures, especially the insects. I wanted to post to see if anyone else was interested in reviving this thread and studying some of the cards with me? I'm going to post on the practice threads too, but was curious to see if there was any other interest in this deck from other fans of the Baba Studio decks.

(Anxiously awaiting my pre-orders ;-) )

I'm very surprised that this study group never really got going. It's a very popular deck that loads of people on these forums seem to love.

Come on folks. Who uses and loves the Fantastic Menagerie deck and wants to join joannski3?

I was thinking of posting something here, just recently.

I would love to join in the study of this FANTASTIC deck!! :)

I just pulled my deck out again. I don't use it nearly enough (as badly as I wanted it, before I received it).

This is a beautiful deck. I've used it for the past two days, and looked up the study group again, to see if anything had been added.

This is my favorite deck of all-time. I owe everything to my mother (well, really, don't we all?) because she read old Grandville-illustrated children's books to me when I was little. She is a retired 40-year media specialist (she prefers the terms "librarian") and had ready access to all kinds of literature. These are the types of books she chose. Pretty good taste, if I must say so myself...

These images really resonate with me. It's impossible to explain, but the best way I can relate it to you is that this deck makes me feel "all funny on the inside".

I've always had great readings with this deck, too. The detailed imagery leaves interpretations open to just about any intuitive spark it'll give you. And I find the artwork evocative, to say the least, not to mention beautiful.

But I hope more people show up; the crickets are getting really loud :joke:

I will be happy to be a part of this study group. Those crickets ARE pretty loud and the fireflies have just started to come up for their nightly dance...quite a site!! Hope we will be able to get some more people interested!!

I briefly went through the cards last night and what struck me (besides the obvious- the charming animals!) is the colors in this deck. They're wonderful! Pinks, mint green, sunny yellows, blues...

I think I'll make this the deck I use next week. I've had it for a year and never done more than flip through the cards!
