The Power of 3x3 Spread

The Power of 3x3 Spread [also called The Empowerment Spread] is based around my Power of 3 (Po3) tarot system which revolves around the concepts of Cultivation and Empowerment. Both of which are in the '3 times 3 spread'.

Below is the spread lay and position meanings. Don't let the fact that there are 9 cards scare you off - you'll find that if you read it in sets of 3's it's a piece of cake (grin).

1 .. 2 .. 3

4 .. 5 .. 6

7 .. 8 .. 9

1. Seekers Mental/Emotional/Spiritual State
2. Energy [the energies working in the seekers life at present]
3. Current Situation

4. Past Challenges
5. Present Challenges
6. Future Challenges

7. Options/Advise
8. Cultivation [things the seeker needs to cultivate in their life at the present time]
9. Empowerment

The first 3 cards are all about what the seekers internal mental, emotional, and spiritual state of mind, the energies surrounding them at present and of course the situation they currently find themselves in.

Note: You can - if you want draw 3 cards for the 1st card position. One for the seekers mental state, one for their emotional state, and the 3rd for their spiritual state. But it usually isn't necessary as the single card that comes up in position one (1) can answer all three states.

The middle 3 cards are a Past, Present, Future layout but they all deal with 'Challenges'. You can read these as what challenges has brought the seeker to their present situation (Past) - what challenges they are currently facing (Present) - and what challenges they will face in the future (Future). OR ... you can read all three (3) cards together to discover what the overall challenges are that are currently facing the seeker/client.

The last 3 cards are about things you can do, think, try, cultivate, and empower yourself with (the seeker) to help you/them overcome the challenges of the 3 middle cards - and the life circumstances the seeker is in at present - which are represented by the first 3 cards in the spread.
