A crow scooped up a mouse!
On my way home from work this morning on the highway,an extremely brave crow (not a raven just an old crow) landed on the road not even 100 feet in front of me,grabbed a MOUSE off of the pavement and flew off with it. The mouse was wiggling trying to get away-I saw all of this!! How unusual and cool is that!?!?! What do you suppose it could mean?? I am very superstitious about animals, especially when I see unique behavior. I bet I'll never see that again as long as I live... |

well blind1, i don't think i'd have thought it so cool! i really don't like seeing or hearing animals in pain, that poor ol' mouse! however, that is nature, so moving on to what it possibly can mean--- that crow was pretty brave, i think, to scoop down quickly and grab fresh meat off a busy road. he could have been hit by a car himself. however, maybe he was really hungry, and tired of roadkill---fresh is better??? i'd say this crow was being aggressive also. is it maybe saying something to you about aggressive behavior on those who are weaker than you or in a bad position? (like that poor ol' mouse?). not to say that agressive behavior is necessarily a bad thing. sometimes it is a good thing---esp. when you're hungry! if this is speaking to you in this sense, i hope you are the crow and not the mouse! |

Crow is the keeper of mysteries and secrets, mouse is the one who can scrutinize from a small point of view. But on the road, the crow wins, the mouse should not try to cross the road unless he wants to be seen and the crow sees a mouse and thinks 'a ha, an easy meal that may not come again.' Both animals may be younger than the rest of their respective brethren. Mouse defeated may mean that you should relook at the scene of the activity, the name of the road/highway, any important events that occured there, any spiritual messages taht you may have missed, was it a cloudy day, sunny, cold, warm? The triumphant crow indicates that this scene may be a source of inspiration, once you get past the details (mouse energy) and look, feel, and become one with the surroundings (crow energy). As crow eats mouse, mouse becomes part of crow (you are what you eat). __________________ ╩_╩ ≈_≈ ┘_┘ ^_^ ~_~ H_H §_§ ■_■ ◄_► ☼_☼ |

A month ago I saw that happen with a blue jay and a hawk,. I knew the blue jay was one of my totems, and was becoming increasingly aware of the hawk- I noticed it more often and I started seeing hawk alot when thinking about certain things. One day I was giving an excuse as to why I didnt want to do something / couldnt do something....and was eyeing the bluejay in my yard as I talked...and swoop....there came the Hawk. For me it was an idication that the bluejay totem (qualities) no longer served me and it was the end of that cycle in my life. I looked at it as a transformation coming my way. Going from meek as a mouse to as bold and mysterious as crow is a big step. Think back to what you were thinking about or talking about when this happened, maybe it has some significance. |

I would just think that crow was very hungry, and the mouse in the wrong place at the wrong time! |

and in the country, they're not at all like in the city...they are magestic and mystical as they traverse the landscape, in samll groups. I watched a hawk in a tree eating a big rat. Both of them country folks. It is impressive. |

The crows in the towns across the countryscape, they are a breed that can be seen near open fields, and undeveloped zones. I often see my town as 'for the birds' and almost always Edgar Alan Poe's poem 'The Raven' and the phrase 'never more' comes to mind. The Crows are definetly in flocks around here, and rarely attack one another. Now my cat is one of those cats who will bring a dead mouse to the door, my other cat is more courteous, he brings the dead birds to the side of the house. A symbol of the respect and authority over domain and territory, cats will be cats and nothing will keep them from acting out towards prey. Except maybe a car, quite smart the feline is in staying away from moving vehicles, the louder the more undesirable to be around. Back to birds though, an interesting fact is that the Eagle will act like a rooster when caged, scratching and pecking at the ground. Unlike a rooster though, they will not be coaxed into fighting one another (except over food but hardly a grudge worth keeping in a cage), they would more than likely turn on their captors and then there would be eagle feathers for everyone. Crows seem adament about not fighting one another, and the energy they are attracted to is a continual message to always be on teh lookout, unless we want to end up like that little mouse, always ground bound in view, look outside the lines, and outside the inner box. My affinity for the Eagle has come to a shift, the Gold eagle calls to me, loudly. I have made the decision to join my totems with my chakra points, the animals are finding their spots. Gold eagle for my solar plexus, bald eagle for my heart, wolf for the crown, and I suppose dragon and jackalope for my hand chakras since they are of fictional species they can represent my spiritual quest. __________________ ╩_╩ ≈_≈ ┘_┘ ^_^ ~_~ H_H §_§ ■_■ ◄_► ☼_☼ |

very interesting! I ALWAYS have some sort of interaction with a crow. I remember back in the summer time,my boyfriend of ten years broke up with me and I was in such shock and sorrow telling my mom about it outside on my cell phone.. as soon as I told her a crow landed just feet above my head and started cawing at me like it was going to sit on my head or peck my eyes out!! He was the only crow around...scared me I ran off the porch. LOL They are very cool but a little creepy at the same time. I know the mouse was alive because in true rodent fashion (I have ten rats) they try to right themselves by whirling around their tail and trying to grab onto something...that's what it was doing. Poor little fella. I was thinking about someone at the time. Pretty hard. The road is one I have traveled for 13 years. 13 miles of plain jane country road. The day was grey but not fog. Cold. Dry road. Just plain. Well I draw a blank really but it was very odd to see I'll say that much! |

Oh I'm definitely the mouse. I'll never be a crow. LOL Just recently though it felt kind of like that. Someone swooped in from above (good stab in the back) and it felt like they tried to peck my insides out emotionally...Could be. |
