I want to announce that Nicki Scully and I will be co-leading a Mystery School Initiation journey to Egypt on November 2 to 17. We will seek the tarot's guidance as we make our way down the Nile, having rare alone time in the temples and tombs to perform our ceremonies. Joining us will be Normandi Ellis, author of _Dreams of Isis_ and one of the most heartful translations of _The Book of the Dead_.

This promises to be an extraordinary and transformative trip, as it will be filled with tarot people. I can easily say that I've never felt such power and spiritual energy as I have in Egypt! Nicki has been leading groups for over 15 years and works with the best Egyptian tour company there is. She is also an amazing shaman-healer.

Please join us. It would be great to make this a time when folks from Aeclectic Tarot can meet each other and do tarot readings in some of the most powerful places on the planet.

I used Nefertari's Tarot last time I was there, reading for many of the other people on the trip. I can't tell you how many times we came across the original images that appeared on a card in a 3-card reading within 24-48 hours of the reading. Once was in a tomb that had not been open to the public for over 14 years!

Boy Mary I would really love to do this. Especially since Normandi Ellis is going. She is someone I have always admired and wanted to meet. Her writing really makes ancient Egypt come alive.
The November trip concludes on my 49th birthday. It would be a dream trip for me. If I can sell 50 sets of MAAT Tarot cards I may be able to swing it.
I am going to really try and "create this reality" I will know by the deadline in June. I always knew I would get to Egypt someday I wonder if someday is
this year. I can't think of a better way to go than with you and Normandi there too. Now you have really given me something to shoot for.

That's the spirit. With you on this trip too, we'd really have a powerhouse. Come on everybody - buy MAAT tarot decks in order to send Julie to Egypt. Also, make plans yourself for this extraordinary tarot journey that probably will never be repeated.

I can't begin to express how powerful the energy is in the temples. Readings here will be with you for the rest of your life!

The ability to have lots of time to ourselves at some sites depends on the amount of money available to pay for these private times. We will be sure that we have key places and times that are private - only our group is there and the guards are not interfering with our personal rites (although everything we do is respectful of the sensibilities of the Egyptian overseers). Our private rites usually involve simple chanting (the acoustics are incredible!), some visualizations/journeying, and, for this trip, pulling cards for later interpretation. Last April we had a fairly large group (40 people) and were able to visit the Cairo museum in the evening after everyone else had left. I can't tell you how amazing it was to be in some of the rooms all by myself - after our group tour led by our own Egyptologist had ended.

Wow! If I could still travel like that.... I, now, have a mucked up digestive system for which Egypt would have no mercy. I know - I was there in 1988! Bring Stemetil!!

Funny this thread... I dreamed I was on a flight from Aswan to Abu Simbel just a night or two ago...

I'll work on saving for another MAAT for you Julie!
