dreams of an old friend

Lately I've been dreaming about someone I used to work with years ago, and I mean every single night for the past few weeks. The dreams aren't romantic (our relationship was more of a brother/sister relationship) and in fact usually have some of his family in them as well-- mostly his children but sometimes his wife.

What I'm wondering is why am I dreaming about him now? One or two dreams I can blow off but every night for weeks makes me think something's going on-- either with him and his family, or it's a message of some sort.... but what?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Rufus - if it is not you who are thinking of them, it is very likely that it is your friend who is possibly thinking strongly of you. Depending on what you dream about (what the substance of your dream is) I would recommend that you attempt to get in touch with your friend, if that is in any way possible, and enquire if it would be possible to get together for old times sake. If you both get to meet, perhaps you may be able to discover if anything is the matter. It is quite significant to dream of someone every single night.

I agree with the above theories. Also I would like to add or ask.. is there something about this person or a quality of his character that is happening to you now ? As an example of what I mean, was he persevering in his life or artistic or something and you are doing the same type of thing or trying to ?

I had that once about an old girlfriend and I never found out the answer. I used to pray for her and then thought that maybe it was a quality of hers that I should adopt.

Dreams are written in symbols and the symbol of that person has a meaning for you. You figure out the symbol. Whew ! That is what I was trying to say. Not much help I am afraid. Hope you sort it out.

Rufus, could be him thinking of you, could be precognitive and you're gonna bump into him or hear news of him. However, one thing I've found with my dream is that if a person appears in them and constantly recurs, it's not about them, it's about a message.

Spirit are trying to give you a message and using this person to catch your attention. Soon as you figure out the message I bet he disappears from your dreams. I used to get this and if my ex appeared, then they/Spirit were trying to tell me something important (why they just can't make me hear them I don't know, would be much easier LOL).

I would second that. The exact same thing happened to me. I used to dream of the same person over and over. I think I have figured out the message because the dreams have stopped. Only once was there an actual telepathic link.

Thanks for responding. Is there a way to contact him? Sure but it wouldn't be politically correct to do so. If he were consciously sending out an SOS on the ether, my guess is it would be generic rather than specific to me. On the other hand, it's possible that I'm the only one who'd pay attention to this kind of message-- so I'm the one getting it.

Anyway, I prayed for him yesterday and for the first time in weeks I didn't dream of him, so maybe that was it.

Pray for him every day for a bit RufusJ or until you forget about him again. There is something there for sure.
