A dream about Wilkie Collins...??? (*weird*)
Well, I was with these people from my past - they DO show up as extras in my dreams on a regular basis!! - & this poster thingie that Wilkie Collins had made was being searched for by this weird guy I'd already dreamed about in another dream (he was a stranger). Anyone know who Wilkie Collins was? He was a seminal writer of British horror fic - he wrote something called "The Moonstone". It was in the basement of a school (ANOTHER element I never seem to be able to get away from) & it was supposedly valuable. While there, I came across this large pad of watercolor paper that I bound as a book & put decorative paper over - had big plans for it that I never really did anything with, but the point is it's right on my bookshelf... I dreamed that I had lost it & then decided I'd take it back, even though I'd lost whatever I'd been going to put in it, & it wasn't worth much of anything. Anybody hazard anything about this one?? (Maybe that bound book is really my LIFE - sheesh!) __________________ OMNIA EXEUNT IN MYSTERIUM |

Though I'd hardly call it horror fic! Or is that "horrorfic" ![]() Those 2 novels are brilliant!!! Mystery and suspense through and through... check out Collins in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilkie_Collins and read The Moonstone! It's fantastic ![]() Can't help on the dream ....unless it relates to one of Wilkie Collins' stories? He was a mystery/detective writer after all...and you were searching for a poster of his.A lot of Collins' books 'n stuff are online via http://www.wilkiecollins.com/ __________________ Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open. |

Gots Wilkie somewhere in my collection... This is all VERY strange! :p haha Well, he wrote ghost fic too, The Moonstone has supernatural elements. Anyway, I don't know WHAT I was looking for in that dank underground space (just the sort of space I MOST HATE!!). Well, maybe someone will have like a flash of insight!

I would in no way call him a horror writer, he wrote mysteries/suspense with a tinge of the gothic and some ghosts stories. |
