Buckland Romani-The Star

Disa

A beautiful woman kneels at the edge of a lake or pond, a row of flowers growing between land and water. The midnight blue night sky is pierced by the glistening stars. The color of the sky reminds me of lapis lazuli, and I wonder if one of her necklaces are also lapis? She wears a bright star pendant. Behind her is a vardo. She pours one vase of water onto the land, the other vase she pours back into the water.

It's pretty much the Star card we are used to in most decks, but this one gives me a feeling of leaving the past behind, as well as hoping for the future. She seems to be contemplating an important decision. Like me, she gazes up towards the night sky for the answers amidst the stillness of the night.

I am not very fond of this card.
Somehow, to me it is too artificial.
the action does not make any sense - other than in Tarot.
I feel like this with most of the similar Star cards....

I absolutely agree! the woman seems kind of stiff. I couldn't tell she was kneeling at first. And the way the flowers are perfectly flowing around her dress seems so odd. For a while I thought the flowers WERE part of her dress.

I find this one hard to interpret...
