Hi, I know this is a vèèèry old thread but since it's about the Reine de Deniers, I suppose I have to post it here. While surfing the net I fell upon this:http://tarotchoco.quebecblogue.com/reyne-de-deniers/ And I think a lot of you will be interested. In short: the Reine de Deniers could be looking into a mirror (or at least a simmilar image could have been the inspiration for this Queen). But the fun thing is that de name 'REYNE.DEDENIERS' is (with a bit of flexibility) a so called 'palindrome': you can read it from the left to the right AND from the right to the left / (S)REINE DE DENYER Ain't it amazing?! Well I love it

Hi there Rafaël, nice to see you back here, and its great to see an old thread brought back to life too. I don't quite know what to make of the Palindrome but if nothing else then its a coincidence that the Queen could be holding a mirror, thereby suggesting that we mirror the word (though the letters would still be back-to-front). Are you suggesting that this holds some secret meaning, or points to there being a hidden language within the card titles? __________________ Insh'Allah Bukra Mumkin |

the queen with the mirror
Hi Moonbow* I'm quiet sure it's not a coïncidence, since there are little coïncidences in the TdM. On the other hand I don't know what's the message behind it. But I found the text worth to be mentionned in this post. Since the name of the card is a palindrome, drawing a mirror here seems to be the logic thing to do. The palindrome would then be no more than an element to stress the presence of the mirror. And when I look at the images of the lady holding a mirror I think it's really very ressembling to our Queens De Deniers. I was reading a book by Mr. Vieux this afternoon where he said that the Tarot is a mirror of ourself. Well I'm glad to have found a mirror in the Queen of Deniers. I hope my answer is not too chaotic... Must be the hot weather in Belgium mixing up my thoughts ![]() Rafaël |

A palindrome and a mirror. What a find! Having a think... If we consider that coins are a 'medium of exchange' = mirror. If we consider coins to be a 'material manifestation' of a spiritual/astral quality = mirror. Not sure I've said that correctly, but hoping the principal has got across. Bee
