Marcasite?

I was out shopping for a present for my mom, and I ended up buying her some marcasite earrings. From what I understand, marcasite has the same chemistry as pyrite, but a different structure. Does anyone have any experience with this mineral?

OHHH I doo! I love it - what is it set in silver? mine was and I think that was part of the key - the 'two elements' however when my dearest soul friend who happened to appear as a dog - my Newfoundland - passed over a dear friend gave me a heart with crystals of marcasite - and overwhelming feeling was 'unity' just the knowing that its all connected and never ending - what - everything..
