This spread was sort of based on a video by the Amazing Athiest, a though provoking, if abrasive, Youtube vlogger. Basically, he talks about how everyone is really three people: who they think they are, who they want to be, and then the who that they really are.

I absolutely love three card spreads, so that's what this started off as, but then I've expanded it a bit. Let me know what you think of it, unfortunately I'm deckless at the moment, so I can't try it out myself. Let me live vicariously through you!

7: What they can do to get to be who/how they want

I was thinking that you could sub 2 for a significator if you chose to use one, what do y'all think about that? Thanks guys!

I really like this, just some thoughts on a possible modification:

1: Who the Q thinks they are
2: Who the Q really is
3: Who the Q wants to be
4: What is acting to keep knowledge of who they really are from their understanding (the blindfold).
5: How they can can start to see the reality (& hence start to move forward).

Interesting - odd ... I set out to find a thread about a "psychological spread" - you know,

1 - significator
2 - unconscious self
3 - conscious self
4 - Higher Self (Holy Guardian Angel).

Given the title of this thread, I thought that perhaps I had come across something similar. And perhaps I have. I'll give it a try.

Oh, yes - how come you call a spread w/6 cards a "3 card spread"?

Interesting spread. This idea is also present in an essay by the XX century Spanish writer Miguel de Unamuno. Basically he states that we are all 3 in 1, due to the differences in perspectives: the one we think we are, the one others think we are, and the one we really are as created by God. I like the idea of the "higher self," maybe you could put a card at the top of the 1 2 3. I called it a 3 card spread, because that's what it started off as, but then I thought it might be better if it were expanded some from just three cards.
