Hi! I'm New!

Howdy everyone!

I'm new her, and I'm hoping to learn as much about Tarot as I can. I'm currently embarking on a new spiritual journey, I've had a major interest in it. I just got my first deck, and I can't wait to dive in.

Hi there,

Welcome to the forum. You'll love it. It's a great place to learn. I, too, found this forum as a result of a spiritual quest, and a yearning to understand myself on a deeper subconscious level. I have met some wonderful people here, and am so glad to have discovered this warm and welcoming place. I'm sure you'll get a lot from your time here. Have fun with your new deck. It's an exciting time.

Cheers,

Johanna

Hi DancingGemini and happy that you found us. Lots of people here deeply interested in tarot and other aspects of their journeys for you to meet and have as companions.

Best,

Hi, DancingGemini!

And wellcome! I´m sure you´ll like it here.

This is my second year with Tarot and so I´m quite new too. Still I would like to give you an advice, if you don´t mind.
If you want to learn as much as you can, as you said, I recommed you to get another deck. Sexuality is a part of us all, but only a part, and Tarot of Sexual Magic deals with that part only. I think it wouldn´t work well as a beginner´s deck. You can find a lot of nice cards recommended for beginners in the "decks"-section.

I wish you luck and joy on your journey!

Moona

Hi, welcome! I don't consider myself totally un-new'd to the forum yet, so to relate my experience from a new person to a new person, I can say that you can expect all good things from this place

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I appreciate as much advice, as possible.

I did purchase the Universal Waite and the Legacy of the Divine decks as well. The Legacy of the Divine is absolutely beautiful, and it has definitely called to me. Still, I definitely need to crawl before I can walk.

Hi, welcome.

If you want to learn, well, you're in the right place. I would recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Little White Book that comes with each deck, but don't try to memorize it or be tied to the meanings given.

I free-associate on the cards a lot, and use the "traditional" meanings as a jumping off point.

Let your intuition guide you.

Oh, and try to lay your hands on a copy of "Tarot and You" by Richard Roberts. It's an excellent book. It leads by example, rather than giving fixed meanings for the cards.
