Tarosophist International #5 (December 1st 2009)
Hello All The fifth issue of Tarosophist International is now published as scheduled on 1st December 2009. This is as special a magazine as our previous issues and is 76 pages of exclusive fully-illustrated Tarot content featuring the work of David Palladini (Aquarian Tarot, New Palladini Tarot) and a celebration of the earliest editions of the Waite-Smith deck to celebrate its 100 years in print this month. It includes interviews and insight from both David Palladini and Stuart R. Kaplan, founder of U.S. Games, Inc. Our two main articles represent several years research from authors Michael Orlando Yaccarino and Holly Voley and include many rare illustrations & photographs, some never before seen. We also have extensive coverage of the new SPILL Tarot, and reviews and previews of the Tarot of the Nine Paths, the Maroon Tarot, the Tyldwick Tarot, and the King's Journey Tarot. We also have articles on our recent Tarot gigs in high and low culture (!), details of our Tarosophy conference in 2010, and our Christmas Competition. This is free as a download to all members of Tarot Professionals, and available to non-members at cost in both download (colour cover, colour internal) and print versions (colour cover, B&W internal). A preview of the cover and contents is available through our main website which links to our Lulu Store: http://www.tarotprofessionals.com I trust you enjoy the magazine, and please do leave any feedback here or if you have any problems at all purchasing, downloading or reading it, e-mail us directly at assistant@tarotprofessionals.com . We endeavour to provide same-day assistance - most enquiries (subject to time-zone) over the last six months have been responded to within an hour (the wonders of a Blackberry)! Previous Issues available include articles by Naomi Ozniec, James Wells, Dr. Art Rosengarten and many others. Our stunning covers have been provided by leading Tarot designers & artists. As an example of the level of our articles, issue 2 has a major research article on the origins and uses of the “Celtic Cross” spread – revealing for the first time in a hundred years the possible date and designer of the spread - and a fascinating way of viewing your Natal Chart through Tarot correspondences, amongst many other considered articles. Our previous issue was a 146pp hardback featuring the worlds leading authors and experts on the Thoth deck and Aleister Crowley, including Mary K. Greer, Rachel Pollack, Lon Milo Duquette, Dr. Richard Kaczynski and many more. If you are interested in providing an article or artwork for the magazine, our Submission Guidelines are available at: http://www.tarotprofessionals.com/Ta...Guidelines.pdf Our next issue in March 2010 will be a ground-breaking issue on the theme of "Childhood and Tarot", featuring illustrations of cards by the children of leading Tarot artists and enthusiasts, articles on the "Inner Child" and working with such throuugh Tarot, Tarot in Play and much more! If you have a young person interested in Tarot and prepared to submit written or illustration work, please let me know.
