Dreaming with a duck
Hi, i had a very strange dream, i was in my backyard and there was a duck who seems to be thirsty, i decided to give him some water in an small container, but looks like it wasn't enough because when i came back thre was a huge container full of water, during the dream i wasn't sure if i put this big container full of water for the duck or someone else did, the thing was the duck was swiming on the container and sumerging inot the water very happy but then all of the sudden the duck wanted to fly but as the feathers were wet he was felt too heavy to fly and was struggling, then i watched the duck pulling the feathers from his winds with his vick i took it as if the duch did this so he wil be lees heavy to fly by pulling must of the feathers from the wings, but again wouldn't be harder to fly with less feathers on the wings? if someone could help me to figure out the meaning of this dream i wll greatly appreciate it, thank you. __________________ A clean glove often hides a dirty hand |

How do you feel about the duck itself? You wanted to provide it water because it was thirsty. Were you at all disappointed to find a different container of water there? Were you sad that the duck's feathers were too wet. During the self-plucking, did you think at first that he could fly better if he did that, and then started doubting his ability to fly? Dreams tell you something about things that are going on in your life. Maybe the duck represents you, your thirst, your inability to fly after "drinking" (or falsely satisfying your desires, leaving yourself with a real desire, like flying, to be unquenched and seemingly unconquerable). The plucking itself, to me, does not sound healthy. It could've meant something different to you in the dream. But it seems somewhat self-destructive. What were some other feelings you had about the duck's plucking? Maybe this isn't about you at all. Maybe it's about somebody else that you're watching, having these feelings (the desire to help by giving them what they want [water], as well as the pity for their inability to do what they really want [fly], and possibly disgust at what they're doing again [plucking themselves]). It could be a self-evaluation, but only you would know. You must recount the feelings you had towards the events and character of the dream, and then see if there are any events and people that you have those feelings towards in real life. |
