A New Aeon re-write of John 14:6 Ra-Hoor-Khuit (HGA) answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. Hello TheSeeker, Your discussion was so timely for me. Thanks for a very cohesive and crisp description of the symbols in the card. I truly appreciate your bringing in the areas of the subconscious and higher consciousness aspect. also like the fact that you helped me see a synthesis of how the symbols flow with each other. I know that the Death card is truly representative of change and transformation and that in the process, it can be an evolutionary change (we're undergoing the change but may or may not be aware of it) and a revolutionary one (the changes are happening to fast or abruptly). I I guess I am talking about the pace of changes that could happen -- perhaps, you and others can enlighten me on this one -- when the Death card shows up, event-wise, are we actually talking of both the gradual changes in our lives, or the more drastic radical ones? Or both? And does it matter what the pace is? Would appreciate insights on this to expand my perspective better. Thanks |

I see Death as more often applicable after change has occured, rather than during in which case Tower and Aeon are perhaps more indicated. Gradual change I would see as more the realm of Fortune, or any card that indicates what the new thing is going to be (e.g. 8 of Pents would indicate gradual change if it is different than the current situation). Small cards like the 2 of Disks can be change as well of course, but I'd tend to see as changes within something larger that stays current, rather than a complete change. e.g. 2 of Disks may indicate a new aspect to your job, where Death/Tower etc.. indicate an entirely new career or loss of job perhaps. Maybe the astrology plays a role there also. Mars (tower) seems much faster than Scorpio (Death) which although ruled by Mars, Scorpio is more like a slow boil, or a gradual process. But it's a complete and irreversible process, which perhaps is not the case for 2 of Disks etc.. __________________ The Book of the LOL II:76. 1 3 3 7 Z O M F G W T F B B Q R O T F L M A O S T C 7 3 3 1. Thanks Grigori. That really adds a new perspective in how I see the Death card and the other cards as well such as the Tower. Your insight also further refines my way of interpreting the card in relation to other cards which I may get in the future. |
