Queen of swords - what is she like?
I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of person she is. I get a lot of her lately, mainly as what others think of me. Is she a bit of a negative character, cold and rational? Anyone with a good example of how she actually is? I'm worrying here.

I see there's a similar topic open, sorry I haven't noticed it before, so move this if needed.

Hello. actually, in my case, whenever I get the queen of swords, I like it because it suggests action that is swift, agile and focused. I never viewed the card as negative. In terms of self image, the only thing I watch for when I get it is that it may also mean I might be too aggressive and focused on my goals that I may be ignoring other important aspects in my life such as relationships and health. |

Leave us remember, in the majors, The Star is Aquarius--meaning light years away ![]() On the other hand, Queens are sometimes viewed as elementally (and collectively) water, and that means that there is compassion, sympathy, emotion there--and Aquarius is the water bearer, pouring out knowledge for the betterment of mankind. Which is why our Queen/Swords is also a humanitarian, putting her intellect and communication skills toward helping people. So she may be a cool scientist, all rational and brainy and distant--but she's working on a cure for rare childhood diseases hoping to eradicate them and save lives. Her personal aloofness is balanced by a very compassionate desire for--and vision of--a better tomorrow. Like the Star, she is distant because she is not in the now, she is in the future. Putting it another way, her good heart makes her want to get us to someplace better, and her sharp mind allows her to see where we need to go and how to get there. She's already charging ahead, slicing her way to victory and, alas, like all of the Sword Courts, she expects you to keep up with her fast pace and rarely slows down. Which is why, once again, she can seem cold and distant. She is on an important, humanitarian mission and she's in a hurry and following a path. If she takes out time to explain it to you, however, then you'll begin to see she's not so chilly and uncaring as she seems, just determined and focused, sharp and pointed as her sword. |

Well, theres a lot of good stuff in the other thread on this here's the link http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=162169 But one of the main qualities of the Queen of Swords is that she is the Watery aspect of Air All the Queens are Water, which connects them to emotion and empathy, all the Swords are Air which connects them to Intellect and reason. So the Queen of Swords is emotional, but she is very logical and very percise, she never makes a decision by emotion, so she comes off as being kindofa cold-hearted bitch, even though its not true |

Thus, she is less likely to be out of control. I find her really appealing. |

Right - all this makes perfect sense now. I know exactly that type of person and I get how and why certain people might see me as her. Thirteen, I love your observations. This inspired me into opening a topic in Games & Fun. ^^ __________________ There is no spoon. |
