Ten of wands with the Nine of Swords

Just wondering what these two cards in combination would mean in general. Pulled them in a general combination, and I thought it seemed like a fitting combination. Waking from nightmares (nine of swords) to a better reality and a heavy struggle that will be over soon (ten of wands) made more difficult by the way one is handling the situation.

Any other thoughts on these cards? I'm going to meditate on them some.

For me the order in which the cards is pulled is important when interpreting them. As 10W then 9S, I could see a heavy burden that weighs upon one physically and mentally. As 9S then 10W, I can see insomnia and its effects the next day, a doom and gloom type and possibly even a self-fulfilling prophesy.

The most obvious reading of them to me, is depression (Nine Swords) brought on by having to bear too many burdens in life (Ten Wands).

So ... someone whose ground-down by life and finds no joy any more.

I'm prone to both insomnia and depression, actually. Didn't even think of that.

My advice would be to quit freaking out, and reprioritize. You're causing yourself unnecessary stress.
