Titles Only Deck Exchange - Wendywu & Idyll
OK - here we go ![]() If we have the weekend to make our decks, we can begin our readings next week, aiming to be done by the following Monday at the latest? I think I'll need you to give me a focus to read about please? If you need one, I'd like you to think about how I can manage to not stress out when my (now adult) son doesn't make it home for the night. I don't ask, I don't nag, I don't even hint that I get anxious - but I do, and I am fed up with it..... Once I know what you'd like me to read about, I'll sort out a spread - or else just throw down three cards and see what I get

OK - my "cards" are done - just waiting to hear from you Idyll .Ummm - should you happen to have decided you don't really have time for this, could you pm me so I can join in on CN & Jackdaw's exchange as a round robin? I know they love me, and will let me!! __________________ When I was a child/I caught a fleeting glimpse/Out of the corner of my eye La ilaha illa Allah |

Hey Wendy ![]() Sorry I didn't check in yesterday, but aiming to be done by next Monday works great for me ![]() For my focus.. I've lately been feeling like I'm lacking inspiration in what I want to do/where I want to go from here, kind of like I've lost the sense of having a dream/goal to work towards, would you be able to read on what I can do to find that inspiration again? If that's too abstract, I can think of something else, just let me know! My cards are almost done, and I'm going to look at 3 card spreads today.. I haven't quite decided if I'm going to use one, or try my luck with a free form draw

1. Your question? 2. Where shall I look for this? 3. What can help you? 4. What might stop you……. 1. A dream, a goal – How do I find something to aim at - Three of Swords I’ll start out by saying that I shuffled and dealt these cards, and then sat staring into space a bit like a startled rabbit caught in the headlights…. That said – I stopped, calmed myself and waited to see where I went. I thought of a trident – Neptune’s weapon of choice – many pronged. At the moment I think you’re a bit divided in your focus. There are lots of things that you’d like to do, but none of them enough for them to become an over-riding goal, nor even enough for them to become a thought out dream. You have been afraid that picking one dream means dismissing the others out of hand, and losing the possibility of ever following them. This means that you are stagnating, waving the trident about hopefully but not actually achieving anything with it. Still with the three of swords, the next thing I thought about was triangles – the sort you use to set up the balls on a pool table. You need one thing (the triangle) that kind of groups your interests (the balls) together and gives them a coherent shape and purpose. 2. Where shall I look for this? Three of Cups The instant thought – you look for your goal with people – I’m beginning to wonder about hospitality of some sort, what with a fork (trident) and a bunch of cups. I’m slightly dubious about this because this card also yells out about friendship and there’s no denying that hospitality shows you the horrible side of people. So – as a starting point I think you need to increase your social circle. Threes – repeated – it’s groups, interest groups. Triangles – again the groups. Your goal needs to include people, and it needs to include things that are already of interest to you. Are you involved in any social circles that are interest based, where you could expand your interest? Whatever you choose it doesn’t need to become your career – just something that provides you with an involving, interesting activity in a group of like minded people. 3. What could help you – Justice Don’t leap in blindfold just because you think something might suit you. Weigh up the pros and cons carefully and thoughtfully and then take action. This card is saying that you have to actually do something to get something. You have to make decisions and you have to follow them through. A dream doesn’t become a goal without action being taken. Whatever you choose to do you are going to have to attend class, or go to meetings, or get out and about actually doing that something. So thought, then action ….. 4. What might stop you – Nine of Swords Inertia. Worry that you might not be any good at it so you’d rather not try. Over-stressing about details. Sound familiar? Accept that all of us start somewhere. The greatest of all at anything started as an absolute beginner – scared and nervous. So – interest based, people based, possibly food/social based … That’s about all I get from this lot – I do hope it helped and I’m sorry it’s so incredibly vague and woolly! __________________ When I was a child/I caught a fleeting glimpse/Out of the corner of my eye La ilaha illa Allah |

Sorry for the delay in your reading ![]() Quote:
![]() Death - 6 of Pentacles - Knight of Swords Death makes me think of jumping to conclusions - assuming the worst, kind of as if he doesn't come home then your mind automatically goes to a dark place about what he could be doing, the situations he could be in etc. So I think the biggest key to managing your stress about this comes down to that - to not letting yourself worry and think that it will become a life/death situation. 6 of Pentacles makes me think of holding 6 coins in your hands, keeping yourself busy by keeping your hands busy. Do you do anything of an artsy nature? That could be a good way of directing your stress into something else, instead of letting it build up like I think Death was pointing to... this also makes me think of even holding something like a worry stone, and using that to channel your feelings, or perhaps doing something liek shuffling a tarot deck, anything that helps you to stay calm and balanced, to help maybe bring perspective to your stress. Knight of Swords here is a hard one.. it's making me think of two different ways you could deal with this, one is to take up arms and act like a real-life medieval knight, which I think is probably what you're drawn to doing sometimes.. the second makes me think of a knight on a chess board, which makes me think of looking at the larger picture or the long-term strategy of the game.. where the medieval knight is really just acting in the moment (like in the heat of battle), the chess-master is able to think about not only the effects that moving a knight will have on this turn, but on many more after.. so I think in that way you need to act like a chess master, and to think about the wider picture. For example, is your son normally responsible aside from not coming home some nights? If so, then you could think of that as a minor sacrific in a game that is otherwise being respoonsibly played? Or is it a pattern, that will ultimately lead to losing the game? (I think that anologies gone too far now haha, let me know if it doesn't make sense!) So, overall, I think that your best way to manage your stress is to try to change some of your thought patterns about the situation, and that the best way to do this is to find an outlet (whether it be an activity like art, or something like a worry stone to keep you grounded), that will progressively help you to change how you react to the situation over time. For my cards, I also used colored index cards (Purple, pink, yellow, green), with each card being randomly placed on a color. For your reading, your cards were 2 purple, and one pink - the warmest colors to me of the 4. The colors have a calming effect to the cards, so I think there may also be some advice there - that when you get stressed by this situation, you should try to engage in activities that are calming to your mind, and perhaps spirtual in nature. Wow - that was harder than I expected! I hope it makes some sense at least
