I ended up doing the reading, so no need to do the collaborative spread. I look forward to seeing what the next one will be, though. |

Since I was unable to find something like this I was hoping we could come up with a spread that tells how a person can help another with a problem. I know someone who has tendencies to create situations that set them up for failure and disappointing others. I believe that they have some kind of subconscious, self-destructive personality trait. I know that they hate making others angry and making themselves frustrated but without knowing why they do these things to hurt themselves or others I can't find a way to help them or have them help themselves. What I'm looking for in the spread is: The root cause of why this behavior occurs What actions the subject can make to remedy the behavior How an outside person (or entity) can do to help them What outcome these steps can provide If anyone has any ideas on how to make this spread more detailed or simply what it should look like I'd love to see them. __________________ Where the crap is my tarot journal? |

Card 1- The root cause of why this behavior occurs Card 2- What actions the subject can make to remedy the behavior Card 3- How an outside person (or entity) can do to help them Card 4- What outcome these steps can provide If you want more a more in depth spread, try adding clarifiers, using more than one card to a position, or adding more questions as you go along. If you'd like someone to make a spread, I'd be willing to do it. Just let me know what other aspects (other than the above four) you'd like added, and I'll see what I can do. __________________ I will stand at the gate of the kingdom I will speak my faith Next to the killer and the Christian True to myself I know my fate |

The Hunger Games
I'd love it if someone would make a spread inspired by this book (the movie is about to come out at the end of the month). Here is the synopsis: Winning means fame and fortune. Losing means certain death. The Hunger Games have begun... In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before- and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love. ---------- I'm particularly interested in the "..choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.." bit. __________________ Obi-Wan Kenobi: But Master Yoda says I should be mindful of the future. The One That Got Away
I became a spread addict over the last few months which made me collecting many spreads here and on other resources. The desire to design my own start to grow more and more because it's a solution when you can't find a spread that fits totally. The only problem is that I truly have no clue how to start so I was hoping to get some help to learn the steps to make here. I love spreads bases on movies or songs and been intrigued by a song of Katy Perry lately called "The One That Got Away". It's a song about a woman which is thinking about how her life would've been with her ex lover when things went different. You can check the song (and sad video) here Main question for the spread would be something like: How would life have been when things went different? It would be nice if the spread can be used for any focus, but not sure of this is possible.. Who wants to work on this spread with me? |

Is there anything on Brene Brown's work on vulnerability and shame? I used to spend a lot of time here, but have barely touched my cards in months. I suppose this would fit into the shadow work in a book or two, though... I just read the book We Need To Talk About Kevin. A very sad book. I don't know why that came to mind. __________________ Druidcraft Tarot: ODW "When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves." ~Victor Frankl |
