Hi! I’m not exactly new to the Tarot, but nevertheless I class myself as a beginner as I’ve spent most of my time not studying the tarot in any great detail. I haven’t picked up a deck in 10 years (until now) and I hadn’t looked at this wonderful site in 10 years either! Lol. Quite a lot has changed to I see. Anyway, I have recently moved to London and have felt a surge of creativity with both a renewed interest in art and a desire to reacquaint myself with the tarot again. It feels so much different for me this time round and I am ready to put in the time to study. It’s a shame I hadn’t joined this forum all those years ago, but I guess I wasn’t in that place back then. I found a couple of my old tarot decks that I used to use – Morgan-Greer and Robin Wood but feel no real connection with either of them now. Morgan-Greer looks so dated now and Robin Wood deck still annoys me like it did when I used the deck in the past. So I have just purchased the Universal Waite (as I think it is a little easier on the eye) and I intend to go back to basics and start all over again. Thanks and I look forward to meeting you soon |

Hi Matz and welcome to AT Nice to have you join us. I started off with the Morgan-Greer and it´s still one of my favourite decks. I guess I´m old enough to feel right at home in that 1970´s and 1980´s atmosphere

Hi Matz! Welcome! Is important to have a deck that you resonate with. The Universal Waite is one of my favorites as it is definitely easier on the eye. __________________ I once played poker with tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died - Steven Wright |
