But it also depends on the quality cardstock which determines if I get a back-up or not. Those very laminated US Games ones, forget it! I just got the Llewelyn Steampunk. I've been using it ever since it got here and I love it. But the cardstock isn't so great, so I will probably purchase a back-up. __________________ I probably shouldn't be here. I have back ups of my favourites & the ones I use most, mainly in case anything happened to one of them. In the case of the Bohemian Gothic I have back ups of each edition as it's just such a special deck. ![]() I do prefer my more well used decks so the back ups are simply that... back up in case of emergency...

I am on a limited income, I'm disabled. I only have backups of my absolute favoritest decks. And I stick to that. The only problem is, since they are back ups, I am afraid to open them. I suppose if a card goes missing or is damaged beyond repair, then I will have to. I was actually going through my box of tarot boxes (getting ready to sell some) and I found a back up I didn't even know I had! lol Then there was one time a card got wet and part of it peeled off! Not even one of my favorites. I still haven't replaced that deck. But I almost cry every time I think of it. My most favorite deck is too expensive for me to purchase a back up deck yet. But it's made of plastic so I'm hoping it will last longer. ![]() Once you can justify a second, it's easier to go 3 and 4 or more. I stop myself at 2 copies. What are the odds I'd damage or lose the exact same card twice? Oh great, now I've jinxed myself. __________________ I don't believe in luck but I do subscribe to the theory of horribly inconvenient coincidences. ~Timmy Turner PDR 2009/2010 ~ Transparent Tarot 78 Weeks ~ Vargo's Gothic |
