Readers Studio 2012 - Annual Aeclectic 3D Trade Train
Hi RS visitors - it's time for an announcement! While Scion as a master class presenter doesn't have the time to organize a dinner, I have agreed to set up the 3D trade train! The train will depart after the Amberstones' evening class, around 9 pm. If you've ever been on a forum trade train, you already have a basic idea ... but think BIG, STEREO, LIVE & 3D! I've blatantly stolen Scion's description of the easy rules from last year's announcement: ANNUAL AECLECTIC 3D TRADE TRAIN: Kicking off the weekend on Thursday night, the annual Aeclectic Tarot 3D Trade Train is an informal swap meet that gives anyone at the Studio a chance to exchange decks and treasures in exchanges that can go beyond this-for-that. Essentially, the Trade Train allows a "chain" of trades between several people (A-->B-->C-->D-->A) so that everyone comes away with what they want even if it takes several trades to make that happen. Of course, regular trades are equally likely and encouraged. This event follows the Amberstone’s Thursday night class, so if you’re at the hotel please feel free to come participate or just come watch the shenanigans. This annual Readers Studio event grew out of a very popular trade train which has been rolling along on Aeclectic Tarot for several years. Each year the AT 3D Trade Train has grown and blossomed. Don't be shy! All are welcome! Get on board! A couple basic guidelines for the Trade Train: • Join! The best way to play is to bring trade swag so your own "station” is tempting. Bring the things you want to trade and have a wishlist so you know what you're looking for. • Ask! The trade items do belong to people and the excitement can get nutty. Please don't take anything without negotiating a mutually satisfactory trade with the appropriate person(s). • Wander! Get to know the "stations" before assuming you can't make a trade. The Trade Train grants all kinds of wishes when we cooperate creatively. Conversation is key. • Watch! Feel free to just come chat and do a little Trainspotting… the linked Trades can be very entertaining from the sidelines even if you’re only a voyeur. More questions? Drop me a message and I’ll be happy to answer! See you at the 3D TRADE TRAIN! __________________ Some are born to sweet delight, some are born to endless night... ~William Blake, Auguries of Innocence~ Screws fall out all the time. Will be there, too! If anyone is looking for a particular deck, drop me a line. I've got quite a few I'd be more than willing to trade. P.S. Thanks for stepping up to take charge, Aulruna. Is there anything I can do to help? |

![]() I've already roped in a few people ... and I'm printing flyers. The most important thing would be for the "old hands" to just explain the idea to everyone who stumbles around with a bewildered face ;-) sal - too bad you will not be there on Thursday! I will bring my infamous trolley ... and I'm sure there will be lots of trades still made during the actual Studio! __________________ Some are born to sweet delight, some are born to endless night... ~William Blake, Auguries of Innocence~ Screws fall out all the time.
