Queen of Wands as gossip?

What do you guys think of the Queen of Wands as someone who gossips?

Nope. Page of Swords is typically the gossip card, or HPS rx--spilling rather than keeping secrets.

Wands are "passionate" and inspirational speakers; when they talk, they want to talk about themselves, their theories, philosophies or ideals, they want to get people's energy or tempers flaring. So they might take a story being told and repeat it to an audience in order to get everyone riled up about what a person did and demand that person be fired, but they don't, as gossips do, just pass on secrets or rumors. That's communications, and that's Swords.

Which isn't to say that the Queen/Wands would stay silent--but if she heard a story, she'd likely gather with a bunch of friends and act it out for them. "Did you hear about so-and-so, let me dramatize what happened to her...." The aim being to use the story to get everyone's eyes on her and generate energy. See the difference? Wands are "energy" cards. "How can I use this to gain or generate energy?"--they tell stories to create action. Swords are "information" cards--"How can I spread this information?"

Thanks for the reply. I like what you say about wands being energy. I'm new to tarot and that provides a new way for me to think about it. I pulled the card in reference to a woman who I know is a gossip. She tends to create drama and riles people up then acts innocent and like the peacemaker(she believes herself.) I think there is an exchange of energy going on here. It seems she likes to "help" people in a way that keeps energy flowing in a negative way. I don't think she has bad intentions though. Hope I'm making sense here.

Ah. That's not quite the same as a "gossip." A gossip just passes on the rumor. "Did you hear? So-and-so did X!" They love hearing and disseminating stories and information, being let in on secrets. A gossip, if you like, just passes on gossip.

This woman is a troublemaker. She uses gossip to make things happen. So she doesn't just say, "I heard so-and-so did X," passing the information on to everyone she knows; she says, "So-and-so did X! Sign my petition to fire her!" Gossip becomes a means of getting attention, and a way of being busy. And that, yes, is the negative side of a Queen/Wands. A Queen/Wands likes being the queen bee, the center of attention, the one who gets the whole hive buzzing and spilling out to sting someone for her amusement.

I have to agree with Thirteen.
I will never,and I mean never forget a story my friend told me.
She sent her boyfriend a lovey-dovey SMS in the middle of the night and she got a reply back - '' I am here with my girlfriend she saw your message she says your wacked and you are''
Turns out it was written by a friend of her boyfriends,a female friend. She actually took the guys cellphone while he was in the bathroom and wrote that,most likely out of jealousy or whatever it was since she had an eye on him. Of course,boyfriend and my friend got into a huge fight and broke up until later they realized she had written that without his knowledge.
She was represented by the Queen of Wands ,but I believe she came out as Reversed Queen of Wands,whereas my friend usually comes upright.

That most likely scared my vision of the Reversed Queen of Wands for life. So much malice.

Wow! Good story (I mean, not for the participants, but for us). It really underscores that difference between the gossip who talks for talk sake, and the troublemaker who uses it for their own twisted purposes.

Well,my friend was extremely hurt, and was in so much pain up until he told her it was not him who had written the horrible,horrible message. She cried a lot. Eventually they came back together,after a lot of apologising and trying from the boyfriends side, and he kicked his ''friend'' to the curb.

But just...can you imagine the mindset of a person who would....come up with such a thing? I mean how low can you be as a person? How can you possibly find amusement from anothers suffering in your sick show?

To me, she showed herself as the Queen of Wands Rx in ''all her glory''. Mean, childish, malicious, low,jealous, likes to cause pain for her amusement and selfish reasons, not to mention stupid because of her impusliveness. I mean really, you send a fake text message pretending to be someone else, does your logic not tell you he or she will get a reply on their cellphone,and knowing of course that they did not write it, they will know it was you?

I'd be more afraid of Queen of Pentacles Rx coming out as my enemy or the Queen of Swords Rx,Empress Rx... The Queen of Wands Rx ,especially after seeing what my friend went threw...just disgusts me. I don't feel she has the mental capacity to be a serious,deadly,advisary,in some ways she is just too -stupid ( at least to me. )
Far from it that I'm saying this Queen cant cause damage,its evident that she can. But her impulsiveness is her downfall. But at the same time,that impulsiveness of hers is what can hurt someone immensely.

I am glad you posted that anecdote about the QoW. I had a similar incident recently (I think). I was quite confused about what a recurring QoW was indicating, but I was already suspecting somebody was being malicious because of a reversed magician that was popping up.

wow... i have an anecdote as well re reversed qow. i pulled this card to represent a person in my sisters life who is full of jealousy and hatred -- a gay person -- who manipulated stories so he can take advantage of the scenario and poses as a good friend to my sister. apparently, my sister unveiled the qow rx as the same person i have been referring to in the cards. until now she can't move on of the thought about someone pretending to be her friend. she felt used.

story: my sister had a break up from a serious relationship until he met this gay guy at the pub, a common friend of her ex and another friend of hers. being drunk and sensitive and too emotional after what happened, she confided with him. then he tells, "i know how you feel and i can help you take revenge." as time passes, he's been sending my sister photos via fb (fabricated photos to appear malicious) to my sister to boost her anger. in the end they foun out that this gay person wanted my sister's ex and has been trying his way to stay away from him.
