Thanks, Treeleafe, for taking the trouble to upload those images for us. I'm intrigued, as my own deck is still weeks away in snail-mail. I see lots of room for interpretation within those images, if one wanted to read from them, which I can't see myself doing, but I've lived long enough to never say never. Sorry to be a bit naughty, and I know I have been very naughty on this thread, but is that Radleigh Valentine dressed as an Archangel (plus long hair) on the card-backs? __________________ 'Qui le Destin par trop fouille S'embrouille; Qui le consulte trop bien N'a rien.' - Quote from Madame Zezina, cartomancienne française, 1959 |

Interesting images, not a tarot deck to me though

That is very helpful, thanks for those pics. I was pretty sure i didn't want it and this makes me just that much moreso. __________________ Either the Darkness alters, or something in the sight Adjusts itself to Midnight, And Life steps almost straight. ~ Emily Dickinson |

I have my copy on order but haven't received them yet. I don't think i have to justify why I want this deck but having read for many clients over the years i know that the imagery on these cards will appeal to a certain type of client. I never read the cards in a more gentle or safe way for certain people but i know that the traditional imagery can be off putting or a block for some. Overall i think this will be a usefull addition to my collection & knowing how popular her oracle decks have been will definitely appeal to certain clients. Would this be the deck i chose to use most of the time? Probably not TBH. Also quite like the idea of Unicorns as swords...time will tell. |

Every time I think about the video and how 'Safe and Gentle' are the keywords of the deck, I keep thinking of Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter The 10 of Pents doesn't seem to add up to me. This is a 10 or completion of the suit yet what we see and the wording seems to be more like a 6. Darkness all around, lights in the darkness and finding happiness from familial sources. A red sky and diffuse light don't seem to say anything to me about completion, success or affluence. I think I would find this a very confusing deck to read with. |

I like this deck. The imagery is beautiful. Is it traditional? No. Is it tarot? Yes. If you trimmed this deck you could read it traditionally easily. What's wrong with gentle? No one says you can only use the keywords as a jumping off point. Isn't that what we do with any deck, including the Thoth? Is it missing traditional symbolism? Yes, but so are many decks. I think people need to look at this deck and forget who's name is on it, trim the keywords like many do and give it a chance. I know I have a client base that will love this deck. |

If you were to buy a genre tarot every five yeats or so
this deck to me would reflect: _those who mix a liking for a Thomas Kinkaide-bright palette with deep colors... -photorealist faces with photosurreal fantasy backdrops _angelic butterfly wings -a more peaceable keyword meaning _angel visualizations _family friendly pictures -giftboxed book and deck sets. I pulled a few cards from this deck and compared.. I laid out the Crystal Visions cards by Jennifer Galasso next to them, the LS Ludy Lescot and the Initiatary Tarot of the Golden Dawn and Shapeshifter. These decks are not too gothy or dark, but they were a contrast. The cards are huge. I wonder if I put them next to my Eden Tarot or VIA, how much bigger..and if they seem gentle or tiresome with all the keywords. Back later... I do not plan on any more DV product purchases, but the tarot is diffent to me. I think this deck might appeal to oracle readers who have been using Doreen Virtue's Oracles and want to test the waters with a tarot deck along the same theme and style of artwork. It doesn't appeal to me, I don't like my decks safe, gentle or sugar coated. __________________ # # Emily # # ----------------------------------- A good student never stops learning Having fun with the Liber T |

I was trying to keep an open mind about this deck. I really wanted to like it! But now that I have actually seen the cards. I just can't do it. The art is ok...but just a little too pastel for me. And I could almost forgive that but for the annoying key word/phrase thing. If someone can successfully trim these, I may be interested one day. So disappointed. __________________ Out Of Body...Back in 5 Minutes |
