d'aw Im so sorry to hear that :C dont feel bad , they are still pretty even if it was man made , whats so wrong with that?but I've heard a lot of mind body and... spirit(?) stores sell stones at outrageous prices. eventuall you'll find an awesome cheap shop and you'll love it and trust it , and spend lots and lots of money in there and you'll have gorgeous powerfull stones and then mabe you'll loose your house and friends for this unhealty obssesion , or maybe Im just lucky to have found one. I recomend going to a specialized mineral or jewelry-making store or whatever it is called. __________________ just because it is all in your head , it doesnt mean it's not true Last edited by Minotauro; 11-03-2012 at 13:41. |

I just did a little online reading and it turn out that opalite is made from real opals! It works with the 3rd eye chakra. So while it is made from less than desirable opal specimens and has fillers to make it 'whole' it still has some real earth stone in it! While you may not have received the crystals you wanted, you have some very nice ones! Invest in a great book or online source so you can compare as you shop! __________________ "To Be for Me is Not to Be, Not to See, to See..." NJTarot |

I purchased several crystals from a couple of online sources and I just put my trust that I got what I thought I purchased. |

Hi I'm new to this forumn but have worked with and sold crystals & minerals for many years. Your black obsidian is correct and so is your rough lapis (the gold pyrite isn't always visible). Your Lapis wand looks like reconstituted low grade lapis or Sodalite. I'm pretty sure your Moonstone is Opalite (manmade but pretty). To be honest i'm not 100% about your Snowflake Obsidian, looks like granite or gabbro to me. Your Tektite is correct and looks Chinese/Tibetan in origin but not to be confused with Meteorite. Tektites are formed through the molten impact of a Meteorite hitting the earth and are not actually part of the Meteorite itself. Hope this helps Blessings - omshanti |

Sorry about that Hemera. I should have checked the rules first before posting my link. My bad. omshanti72 - thank you very much! Your answer really did help me a lot. I googled up what reconstituted lapis is, and found out that my lapis wand may in fact be one. But I'm not sure if it is lapis or sodalite. And about the snowflake obsidian, a crystal expert told me that the one I have is a local type of snowflake obsidian, but I still have my doubts. And your answer proved that my guts were right. Although I'm not sure if what I have is either gabbro or granite. Some pics of the two looks the same as my so-called snowflake obsidian. Thanks a lot! =) |
