am I alone on thinking the magician at least reversed could mean a manipulative or lying person? the moon and devil seem the obvious choices to me and the first that came to mind , but for some reason the magician too , perhaps as the bateleur or show man aspect of it. __________________ just because it is all in your head , it doesnt mean it's not true |

The magician can be a manipulative person, but not necessarily a liar. He's more about competence, and doing whatever you need to do to get the result - "the end justifies the means". That doesn't necessarily indicate lying. Whilst the Seven Swords, on the other hand, is primarily about deception. |

I would say 7 swords, although the 7s in general indicate lies and secrets, and strife as a result. __________________ IDK, my BFF Tarot? |

Ok, basics that everyone agrees on: Moon and Devil. Others: (tarot of vampyres) Three of Swords- they have a secret, and it will hurt when you find out Five of Pents- for some reason, my 5 pents shows a dark figure, crouching over a wounded body. at the very least its not comforting, but in the right context, i could see lies Queen Swords rx 9 swords- someone could not be lying to you, but ABOUT you. 7 cups kinda carries a malicious connotation for me, think it works in the context That's all i got, and that might just be my reaction to my deck. hope it helps |

Definitely Moon. It came in my readings a lot with my high school boyfriend who turned out to be a two faced person and a compulsive liar. __________________ There is no spoon. |

The 7 Swords, especially if it is accompanied by the Moon and/or 3 Swords. __________________ "No, I think I'll just go down and have some pudding and wait for it all to turn up... It always does in the end." ~Luna Lovegood |

High Priestess
I came into that old thread and I wondered if the High Priestess was not someone who was holding a secret therefore she could lie too to cover it. Last edited by Blacktulip06; 08-06-2012 at 07:12. |
