I got my DM only last December but I'm still madly in love with it. It has become my go-to deck and serves really every purpose. I seem to get its kind of language, every message is just absolutely clear to me. It may have a "dark", grotesque look but that does not mean you could only do "dark" or especially deep readings with it (btw ... what do you mean with "dark" readings?). I think it's a great deck for every type of reading - but it's not the kind of deck that pours sugar on unpleasant messages, at least this is how it seems to me. It tells you things right out in your face without detour.

Everyone always complains about the plasticky Italian printing of this deck.. Normally I hate super-glossy cards, but there's something about this one that I like. It reminds me of lacquerwork or something (even though the artstyle is totally different). I have the glossy Italian edition and I really like the cardstock.

I just recently got a copy of the Italian printing too - and I don't mind it at all.

I almost never get back-up decks, but I will HAVE to snag one of these borderless Deviants! Oh my, something new to crave. That, and the companion book!

I guess I mean 'shadow' readings, when you get an insight into something from the subconscious, something hidden or something you don't want to face and have been avoiding. Didn't mean "You are a serial killer"

BTW, does anyone know if Patrick sells the China printing on his site? Guess I'll e-mail him...
