I'm using and blogging the deck this week and have nothing but praise for it. It is inventive, outside the box, and the art is gorgeous. I'm smitten over the skies in particular. None of the art is by or directed toward pre-pubescent boy mentality. It is adult and elegant. The things LoS gets bashed for are non-applicable to this deck. The often useless LWB instead specifically lists each card site and why it was chosen and no stock keyword divinatory meanings. A+ The borders are NOT multi-lingual and in fact have no words at all. The minors have the icon of the suit at the top, the number at the bottom, both subdued, not in your face. Courts have the suit icon at the top; pages have a helmet at the bottom, knights have a horses head, Kings have a big crown, queens a little smaller one. Majors have only a Roman Numeral upper left and lower right. On the other hand, if you need RWS images to use tarot, this deck probably won't be for you. You really have to think about how the image can be applied to how you normally read/see the cards Thank you Lo Scarabeo and Ric, well done! Last edited by AJ; 28-06-2012 at 02:37. |

Sounds interesting! However, I wonder whether the concept might have been better served by an Oracle deck rather than a Tarot. __________________ "When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before." - Mae West |

I agree with AJ! I got my Sacred sites today (thank you, gregory!)I just looked at the images and quite like it. Tomorrow I will find out, how well it reads, I have several FtF readings to do in town and will take it along... __________________ .....in the woods - Greenwoods and others.... |

Although it arrived Wed or Thur, I only got a chance to really take a look at it today. It's pretty. But I'll need to do lots of research into the sites and the stories that surround them before I could really use it as a reading deck. There seems to be enough in the imagery that I could read in intuitively, but in the case of this deck I think that definitely wouldn't do it justice. Is it just me or does the guy's backpack in the Ace Pentacles remind anyone else of a robot's head? It also looks like the statue head in the 8 Pentacles. Rodney __________________ Smile. I watched the video and thought it was very well done. The deck was explained nicely and the video came out great. I then had to watch another video on that page for the Book of Shadows Tarot. I believe you did a great job in presenting the decks. Quote:

Ric, the LWB lists Massimiliano Filadoro and Federico Penco. Did they both do the art, did one do the art and the other the LWB or what? Thanks (I just can't get over those marvelous skies. |
