i have reworked the 8. The Coffin card...

These are the exact proportions of the original photo...i didn't change the size of the coffin or the
stand with the cloth at the bottom...
..that is original as i found it, so please don't think i make the coffin smaller, etc.

i made a new background and added a bunch of other stuff to and around the coffin and stand,
but i didn't change their original dimensions...

..it is almost 4am ...so i better quit for the night
..see you all tomorrow...

The Coffin Card

This is really looking good! I like the type of coffin and the background the only thing that I don't really like is the stand. I don't know it looks too much, too big for this coffin, even if that is what it was in reality.

Could it be possible to have the coffin just on the ground? And could it be possible to have maybe a tiny patch of white flowers among the grass in the foreground. Not something thick though, more like tiny flowers sparingly growing...just a little reminder that the Coffin speaks about the end of something but at the same time the end also indicates the beginning of something else...

Once again, i am in agreement with our lady Z. i really don't like the huge stand, either....
i also like the idea of the coffin being on the ground and having something that depicts transformation--new life and new beginnings. [in addition to the obvious "ending"]..perhaps a butterfly or two? With every ending, there is the chance of a fresh beginning...out with the old and in with the new.

i just looked through the cards i have left to do and only found 5 that might be a possibilty using this background... the heart, the whip, the key, the letter, and the lilies
I really like that background too and was sad to see it go, but your Ring card came out nicely even without it.

As for the coffin card, I agree with the others that the coffin stand looks odd. For me, it's not the size of the stand, but that the stand doesn't integrate with the background, mainly the grass at the front. It's too obvious that the stand was pasted in and it looks too artificial. The only thing I can think to try is to add small objects around the edge of the fabric where it meets the grass. Maybe if some blades of grass grew above the fabric line it would look less pasted in?

Thanks garmonbozia, but now i have 'completely over' with a whole new coffin and background...etc.
..put in the white roses on top of the coffin, a few butterflies, and with a background that
that is on a hill with pretty flowers...coffin is on the ground...and i want to be buried right there!

You can see the new version 4 at the bottom...
Thanks for your comments garmonbozia...

My sis, the stand is gone...background gone...coffin gone...you can see the new one below sis...
Thank you for your help, hon

Butterflies are in the new version 4 below...
I think it adds something to the image...but not sure there are the right butterflies or not...
i think they are okay and work for me...but for you? i didn't want to make the butterflies
too bright or to large as i think there is enough going on in the photo and the coffin needs to be the focus.
Thanks for your critique, my friend

garmonbozia, i did try adding stuff around the edges, but i think that the coffin still
looked too small for the stand...and with all the others saying to get rid of the stand and put
the coffin on the ground...that caused me to ditch the whole card...and start over
Thank you for your suggestions

i may be going there sooner than i think...because someone went on Amazon.es
(another country...i think in spain?) and has charged my debit card for $254.15

...almost had a heart attack when i just now saw the charge online on my bank account!!! What???

You need to keep a close eye on your accounts now...this is happening all too often...YIKES
But luckily i caught it right away and now have a claim in against this charge...but still, it takes
up to 10 days to get my money back in there! Last xmas someone cleaned out my whole bank account
through amazon.com by buying all xbox games!!! Now this! YIKES... It is hard to create with
this stuff going on...So, yes i love the coffin view...but not yet

My sis, i am so glad you like my new version 4 of the Coffin card
...i am glad to move on away from the coffin...i am tired of looking at them

Lyn
p.s. sorry i was a little off topic...and i will go now to chat and warn everyone else...
