Hello from Pennsylvania USA
Hello Everyone, Let me start with a small introduction my forum name is Siochanai this is a name which has been with me for around 10 years now. It is a very special name to me that came to me during my first spiritual awakening when I was 16. I am now 26 years old and another spiritual awakening that just happened near the end of June has lead me here. My real name is Bill and I have many interests including technology, mythos, and philosophy. I am a very spiritual individuel who has been on what I would call a very long and confusing spiritual search that has been going for 10 years since my first real awakening. I have been lost and confused endlessly until most recently when I had the most amazing awakening so much emotion, energy and even more confusion about where my guides are taking me. I don't even know who my guides are yet. Now more to the point this current awakening has been the most profound I have ever had and it drove me to the point where I decided I would go have a Tarot reading done because I just could not figure out where things were going. So about 2 weeks ago I had a reading done and it was amazing. Was not very specific but there were certain things my intuition took me during the reading and it is what lead me here while I was searching for my first Tarot deck. Now that I have it here I am hoping to share experiences with the many great people here. Sorry for the long introduction post could have been much longer so I paraphrase a bit and I do really hope I can make this place a new home for myself. |

Hi A warm welcome to you I have myself just become a memeber here and am enjoying it very much. I love the Aeclectic site so much. I expect you will do a lot of browsing not only of the posts but of the wonderful array of tarot cards etc. Your spiritual journey sounds quite something it seems those on the spiritual path encounter many ups and downs before things settle. Hope you have as much fun here as I do. Thoughtful |

Howdy Siochanai and welcome to the Forums! This is a excellent place to learn about Tarot and many other spiritual things. I can entirely agree that spiritual journeys (yours, mine, many others) are long winding paths. There are a lot of ups, downs, wanderings around, side trips to "see the elephant". There are frequently a few hard knocks along the way as well as the wondrous sights. And there are a few times that one might come to a complete stop and be side-tracked for a while - but we usually get back to wandering again eventually. Sometimes there is a well-worn path to follow, but many of us find ourselves wandering off the path to see what's over the hill, or behind that tree ... that is when we get to "see the elephant". That is when we get to have another layer of the grime of "reality" stripped away from our eyes to reveal a wondrous site or a new truth. So ... the fact that you've already been walking a winding trail towards spiritual growth is a very good thing. As you will see, there are a lot of folks here at Aeclectic Tarot who "march to the beat of a different drum". You will encounter a lot of differing ideas about Tarot as well as other things. One thing is certain though, it is a great place to learn and a great place to give you food for thought and points for meditation. It's great to have you with us. Looking forward to seeing what you share with us. Enjoy your time here! [Edit to add:] If you hadn't heard the expression before, you can search Wikipedia for "seeing the elephant".
