Lady Z, although i have been to many a Ren Faire and have hung out in the Gypsy Camps longer than i care to remember.. i really don't think those titles work for me. The title needs to be something that conveys the flavor of this deck without one needing to google in order to find out the meaning of the expression used in the title . Although >we< might know; not everyone does..

True! That could cause a problem if they don't have a clue what the Name of the Tarot means...

If any idea comes up I'll post! Not so easy to name a deck!...

Debra, i really do want to have some image pertaining to the theme of the deck...
on the backs...
A geometric design wouldn't work for me...sorry hon, but thank you for the thought.

Hugs and Blessings,
MG xxx
LOL...this is way too funny... i don't know if you remember (in the beginning of this deck)
it was FIRST called: 'Medieval Chihuahua Tarot' and then i changed it...

So i think i WILL go back to the original name:

'Medieval Chihuahua Tarot'

Maybe Alta can change the name back for me... i would feel better with that name really!

Thank you my sis, for bringing that up ...i will pm Alta shortly...

...so remember to look for the thread under 'Medieval Chihuahua Tarot'...(if Alta will change it back for me)

If I was to buy another Tarot deck I would be nuts to have that kind of back for the cards...It would not interfere with drawing the cards, even though it is a landscape, it is such a peaceful and beautiful sight!

Thing is, I love when decks have a beautiful backside for the cards! But that's my taste...

Anyhow, without hesitation, if I may place my vote, it is for version 2
Thank you so much, LadyZelda ...version 2 is a very nice image with the water reflection
and the warm colors that so match the front colors throughout the deck...

LadyZelda, version 4 would be great for a box image...you are right! If i sell the deck from TGC
i will have to have the box...so i will keep this in mind. i might just order in bulk from them
and then offer the deck from my own site...still thinking on that...
Thank you for the box idea!

i am finding that my >Main< problem is this--i am just not wild about the name "Aye Chihuahua" for this deck, because of the kind of Medieval theme mostly being depicted.

Every time i hear i see the Aye Chihuahua name, my mind conjures up a picture of a Chihuahua Mariachi band--complete with sombreros, serapes, guitars and maracas! i can't help it! i used to live very close to Mexico!

Maybe if the name were changed to something more Medieval, the version 2 backs would work better for my eyes and mind. i know i am asking a lot here...
Lyn might have her heart set on that name...but i just had to express my feelings about it...

ETA: IMHO a box is not necessary. i would be very happy with a small organza drawstring bag. Much less of a hassle for our Lyn.
Sis, since the deck is mainly Medieval i think it is okay to go back to my original name...
...and i know you would like that one...right?
Sis, i am sooooo happy you brought this name situation up...YES!!!

With Aye Chihuahua, i can't get passed my image of a Chi Mariachi band!
yes, sis, how awful to have that pop up in your mind...i'm changing it back now!!!
Thank you!

To stay with the Medieval/Renaissance style of the deck a "Renaissance" expression would work perfect....for those of you who go to Renaissance faires you know what I mean, for others here it is:

"Oyez! Chihuahua Tarot"

"Oyez" was used by town "criers" to call the attention of the people before an announcement

"Huzzah! Chihuahua Tarot"

"Huzzah" was a way to express how impressed you are with something!

These are just ideas/examples...any other Renaissance expressions would work, at least that is what I think
LadyZelda, i don't know about Renaissance expressions that much...but what do
you think about going back to my original 'Medieval Chihuahua Tarot' deck name?

Well, sis, everyone knows 'Medieval'... so it shall be again...this makes me happy!

Don't worry, LadyZelda, my friend, no need to think up a name as i feel that going
back to my original 'Medieval' in the title will be perfect now...

Off to pm Alta to see if she can change it back for me...

@everyone:

The editing of this deck is going really smoothly because i started with the 'right size' image
this time so editing amounts to just checking closely and making sure there are not any
boo boos (LOL) that stand out, etc. So should only take a couple of days...

But will take the most time will be the setting up of a site page on TGC and then uploading
all the images...that is really slow on their site and will take about 2 to 3 days work.
(even if i only purchase the decks in bulk...i still have to set a page up on their site and
i still have to spend a looooong time uploading all 78 images and then you have to edit
(rather approve) of each card when uploading...and TGC's site extremely slow for this part.

i will keep you all posted...

...don't forget to look for: Medieval Chihuahua Tarot...instead of Aye Chihuahua Tarot...
(if Alta agrees and can change it back for me)...

Oh, i want to add:

If i buy this deck in bulk, then i don't need a printed box for each deck, and then i can supply
my own bags (maybe 'organza' as MoonGypsy suggested).

That would certainly keep the costs down for everyone, because it is $2.79 for the box at TGC...
and organza's are much less, i think.

...just some thoughts on the box verses a bag...

Also...RE: deck size:

i have now decided to only offer the 'regular sized' tarot deck...not the others...
unless there are enough requests for the other sizes, namely the poker and the jumbo sized.

Thank you LadyZelda, i think you are right and the majority will like my original deck title better...

and for the others that don't:

If any one of you have critiqued or suggested things for this deck, and feels that perhaps
i didn't listen to you... i can only defend myself by saying that everyone has an opinion,
but an artist must find meaning (for themselves) in the process...

i hope that makes sense ...

Medieval Chihuahua Tarot--Yes! And now i love Version 2 for the backs!!! The name change did it for me! My Chi Mariachi Band dancing the Cha Cha whilst shaking meracas has completely vanished *snap* just like that!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL my sis... you are a riot!!! HAHA

...i knew i was right in the beginning when i first named it...and the Aye Chi name never really
did it for me either!

You have no idea how much i appreciated that you made me see this!!!

This way, when people do a search on 'Medieval' or on 'Chihuahua' ...my deck will come up!
So either way...i can't lose...or i should say there will be more money for Chi rescuers...

Thank you my very dear sis!

@everyone:
Speaking about Chi rescuers...celticnoodle suggested some fantastic people that are doing
a marvelous job in rescuing dogs...(including Chi's)...she went there in person and then sent
me the online link to their website. i went there and cried all day after reading their marvelous
poems, written from an abused dog's viewpoint...wow...you have to read them here:

http://www.hubbardshounds.com/dedica...mill_dogs.html (prepare to cry or at the least to be deeply touched!)

and here...(scroll down to find poem) http://www.hubbardshounds.com/about_us.html

That is where part of the proceeds from this deck will go...and if anyone else wants to recommend
an honest (hopefully Chi) rescue place or persons, please post it here or let me know...

Lyn

ETA: OOOPS, Pandora Moonraven...i missed your post (or we posted at the same time i think)

If i order in bulk, it could take up to 2 weeks to get the decks here and then i would
have to mail to you. If i sell from TGC, the price would go up because they INSIST on me
adding a 'TGC GAME BOX' ...even if i chose a velveteen bag to go with it.

So, what i am saying is, prepare for the time span with the shipping from TGC to me and me shipping to you all.

Lyn

UPDATE on my progress of editing:

i have just finished editing all the COINS cards...a couple of the MAJORS...
...i got hung up on Pixel's and Campa's Queen and King of Coins cards...did a lot of revamping
and i think they are better now. Those were the hardest to work with because of the photos
i had to start with...but i think everyone will be pleased...

Oh, and today i received one last 'Chi' photo from member LadyZelda, but the deck was already
finished, so i did find a way to add her lovely, beautiful dog, Khloe, in anyway ...
i am just waiting for her decision between a couple of versions...and as soon as she chooses
i will post the card so you can see her beautiful baby...

Today is very busy for me (other local stuff) but i plan on editing the CUPS cards for the next 2 hours...

Lyn
