Bear Dream
Hello Everyone, I am a very spiritual person who strongly believes dreams play a huge role in finding our true self. Generally I have no raw definition to what I believe other then everything around us is devine and serves a true purpose and carries lessons to teach us. I do believe in a Goddess who rules the moon and a God that rules the sun but I do not know what deites are attached to me yet. Hopefully this can help with the dream. So the dream started at a house and for some reason or another I was talking to my parents and I said lets go to Canada so we got in the car and I drove us to Canada. Upon arriving we were at a lush forest. This forest was fresh and brought a sense of great calm. There was a path that I lead them down and we came to a cabin. In front of the cabin was a line of three very tall trees and hanging from the trees were Grizzly bear pelts. My dad was looking at them in awe as he is a hunter himself I am not sure what my mom was doing. I looked passed my dad and next to a fallen tree were two young Grizzly bears eating from a honey comb like bee nest. The one bear looked up and gazed in my eyes and then left the honey comb and walk over to me calmly. It then stood up on 2 legs and placed it's two front paws on top of my hands and rested gently on them just staring into my eyes like it was reading my soul. Then I woke up. Anyone have any ideas about this dream. Almost everyone of my dreams are this vivid it really is unbelievable because many people I have talked to never even come close and can barely ever remember them. Mine however I can remember for years. |

Sounds like you have had an invitation to learn about Bear, what Bear represents in all cultures, what they mean to you, how you can honour the dream. We are all spiritual people whether we realise it or not - perhaps this dream is suggesting a closer relationship with older, nature based spiritual beliefs. |

WOW! You received an invitation from Bear to join them! That is quite an honor! A little rusty here on what The Animal Medicine Cards would indicate about this meeting ... introspection? Bears hibernate through the winter months and re-emerge in the Spring. __________________ I don't lead the parade - I AM THE PARADE! This is not rocket surgery, ya know! I echo what Milfoil and Tarotbear have stated. From the perspective of my Native teachings, you have received an invitation to receive the bear medicine which is about healing/doctoring. The fact that the cub touched your hands may also indicate that you are to be a healer of children. Are you currently doing or thinking about doing any work with children/teens? I don't know enough about Canadian Indian beliefs to say how this may play a part (hopefully someone else here will) but I do believe the fact that you travelled "to Canada" and new exactly where to go to find the cabin in the forest is significant in the context of the dream. Perhaps your next teacher/mentor/guide is connected somehow to Canada. This was a very powerful dream!! Thank you so much for sharing it with the rest of us. You have received the call, Siochanai, what will you do now??

Thanks for the information guys much appreciated. As to answer the question no I have not been considering working with children or teens. I am actually a student of Information System Security lol. I have been told through a tarot reading that I will meet a spiritual teacher and eventually become the teacher and I think I remember her mentioning something about healing not positive was some weeks ago. On another note if you thought that dream was cool you should hear some of the other ones I had this month. If anyone is interested I would be more then happy to share the journal I started to keep early this month when my new spiritual awakening started if anyone is interested. The first entry in the journal is a dream I remember from my first awakening 10 years ago and it is how I got my name I am using on this site. Last edited by Siochanai; 27-07-2012 at 05:55. |

"The strength of Bear medicine is the power of introspection. It lies in the West on the great Medicine Wheel of life. Bear seeks honey, or the sweetness of truth, within the hollow of an old tree. In the Winter, when the Ice Queen reigns and the face of Death is upon the Earth, Bear enters the womb-cave to hibernate, to digest the year's experience. It is said that our goals reside in the West, also. To accomplish the dreams and goals that we carry, the art of introspection is necessary. To become like Bear and enter the safety of the womb-cave, we must attune ourselves to the energies of the Eternal Mother, and receive nourishment from the placenta of the Great Void. The Great Void is the place where all solutions and answers live in harmony with the questions that fill our realities. If we chose to believe that there are many questions to life, we must also believe that the answers to these questions reside within us. Each and every being has the capacity to quiet the mind, enter the silence, and know. Many tribes have called this space of inner-knowing the Dream Lodge, where the death of the illusion of physical reality overlays the expansiveness of eternity. It is in the Dream Lodge that our ancestors sit in Council and advise us regarding alternative pathways that lead to our goals. This is the power of Bear. The female receptive energy that for centuries has allowed visionaries, mystics, and shamans to prophesy is contained in this very special Bear energy. In India, the cave symbolizes the cave of Brahma. Brahma's cave is considered to be the pineal gland that sits in the center of the four lobes of the brain. If one were to imagine an overview of the head, the top of it would be a circle. The South would be the forehead, the North the back of the sull, the West would be the right brain, and the East the left brain. Bear is in the West, the intuitive side, the right brain. To hibernate, Bear travels to the cave, which is the center of the four lobes where the pineal gland resides. In the cave Bear seeks answers while he/she is dreaming or hibernating. Bear is then reborn in the spring, like the opening of spring flowers. For eons, all seekers of the Dreamtime and of visions have walked the path of silence, calming the inner chatter, reaching the place of rites of passage - the channel or pineal gland. From the cave of Bear, you find the pathway to the Dream Lodge and the other levels of imagination or consciousness. In choosing Bear, the power of knowing has invited you to enter the silence and become acquainted with the Dream Lodge, so that your goals may become concrete realities. This is the strength of Bear." Jamie Sams & David Carson __________________ I don't lead the parade - I AM THE PARADE! This is not rocket surgery, ya know! While you are digging, you may find that Bear lies in the West for some cultures but in the East for others - so finding your own belief that sits right with you, your heritage, where you live etc may be useful. |

We are now in the third day of bear hunting season and my heart is breaking for beloved friends who might be slaughtered at any moment. You mentioned the bear pelts hanging on the trees, and the fact that your father is a hunter. I think the message of the young bear for you is: "Please see our deep heart connection! Please see that we are really one family, you and us. Our souls are the same. Please help to put an end to the carnage! We have no voices in the human world. Please speak for us and work for us to end the murder of our People!" __________________ NIHIL EST-- IN VITA PRIORE EGO IMPERATOR ROMANUS FUI! |
