So true Winterchild
Often there is no one simple answer, but sometimes there are simple things we may overlook. I find that tarot or oracles can help me think outside the box or strike a chord I wasn't hearing before. I think it's great one of your oracles is handmade! __________________ It's ALL about the road trip, not the final destination. |

Frac Ture :-))
I hope you will post how you like them after a couple of readings. There are a couple great easy spreads that I found very helpful and on target! I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. And you're so right, the Cave is a great image, but I think you will find many wonderful cards in this deck. And oh so happy to enable lol. I get re having the book. I like having physical books around me, I just haven't bought the book yet. I have gone over the site many times though. __________________ It's ALL about the road trip, not the final destination. |

sorry Winterchild!
Didn't remember who liked that card. Yes, I too am watching all the oracle choices with interest, frac_ture. Totally happy with psycards, but am open to trying new oracles. I tend to look for oracles that offer an element that speaks to my psych background, it just resonates more. I get what you mean regarding tarot. I definitely read tarot more, but psycards has a bit of the feel of tarot to me without being tarot, kind of a different perspective. Just speaking for me, oracles are just a different voice, a different way of looking at something. I have combined both before. __________________ It's ALL about the road trip, not the final destination. |

I own around 18 different oracles. Until late 2010, Psycards was my deck of choice for well over 10 years. I used multiple decks [4 decks], but with only 1 copy of 'yes', 'no', 'now', 'never', and 2 of 'maybe' cards. Occasionally, particularly if I needed a 'sugary sweet' element, I would use a DV deck such as HwF, or HwA. I found that my clients were happy with this, but I still had a nagging feeling, I needed to get deeper, and sought to find a way of bringing out 'elements' many oracle decks cannot reach. By this I mean that a reference point in the form of a card was visible to the client. For example, if a client is being drained of her 'energy', then I required a deck that could portray this directly. From that point I changed to using Oracle-X (54 card version), and since June of this year have moved to Oracle-X (80 card version). Being able to shape the deck to a particular clients needs is also useful...... (e.g. to be able to remove cards for certain clients with certain belief systems). I was 'Best Man' at a wedding last weekend.... for my speech, I broke with tradition by getting the Groom to shuffle a deck of Oracle-X cards..... then giving a 9 card past/current/future reading to the assembled guests. Whilst risky, I had confidence in the deck and my abilities. As it happens all 9 cards were 'spot on' leaving some guests very emotional (in a positive way). The reading was videoed, so I will get to see a play back in the near future. |

Oracle-X
The Psy cards dont really appeal to me but I would like to see the Oracle -X..... sounds intriguing. Slightly OT, but I was trying to find your homepage for the Oracle, and saw on your profile about your current human incarnation..... now that is fascinating! I have never done PLR but did attend a workshop once here in NZ..... I was completely blown away by the possibilities and would dearly love to find out more. Hi Winter, yes PLR is a little off topic..... but I am happy to share my experiences via another medium (e.g. FB). There are some Reincarnation themed Oracle decks...... I have one, but for me, it is next to useless, and I would never use it with a client (or indeed myself). I am hoping that one day I might find a use for it. Many of us will get past life glimpses/thoughts/feelings etc., the art is to remember that two pieces of information may not fit together as expected. For example trying to match a segment from your last life, with one from three lifetimes earlier........ two valid segments, but more than likely, no direct link. In my case, my last life was Negro (Southern USA, c20th), and the life three before that was English (c17th). |
