mugwort anyone?
just interested to see if anyone had burnt or made tea from mugwort to help with their readings? i brought some about six months back to help with lucid dreaming but unfortunately it didnt work, but it did have a MASSIVE effect on my poor hubby! he couldnt understand why he had had a massively vivid dream that night that completely freaked him out! lol. needless to say, i didnt burn it again in the bedroom! im now going to have another shot at using this wonderful herb as ive read so many positive things about it enhancing psychic ability, but i will be burning it downstairs in the morning this time round!

Ahahaha!!!!! Poor hubby! I would love to have vivid dreams. I'm not interested in lucid dreaming. My question is where do you get mugwort? Have you tried bay leaves? |

LOL Stormdancer why did I have a feeling someone was going to say health food store? Do you know by chance if this is something they would sell at Whole Foods? I'm on vacation next week so maybe I can go on a mugwort hunt. |

downward spiral, i got mine from a lady on ebay who sells very fresh and good quality herbs at good prices. i have used many of her wares and they are all extremely good. i will try and send you a link to her on ebay. failing that, there are others on ebay but you would have to read their feedback to make sure others were happy with the quality. i live in quite a small town and do have a health shop but they dont extend to thinks like fresh herbs. also you could harvest your own! very easy to find and would be most potent! althugh just not available in my country :/ see this website for a good read up http://www.nyctophilia.net/plants/mugwort.htm but please do read the read the warnings as well, because as with other herbs too, you have to use it properly. if taken in very large doses (you would have to drink alot!) it can become toxic to the body (i would say one or two cups a week for a month and then give it a break for a few weeks) and NEVER take in pregnancy as it cam bring on premature labour. it can also help with menstration if you are not regular. they say that people of the past would sit on clumps of it to help with this. to take it, you can use a couple of spoonsfull in a tea (mixed with chamomile and lemon verbena is yummy as it can have quite a bitter taste), you can smoke it (i dont smoke so i dont do this), or my fave way is to burn it on a disk on its own or maybe with a little white sage. oh, and you can just leave it under your bed with the intention of having lucid dreams. never underestimate how powerful just leaving it under bed can be!!! you will very surprised of its powers! i know we were! and not im not aloud to keep it in the bedroom because poor hubby gets such intense dreams he doesn't get a proper nights sleep! lol. good luck when you do try it, and have fun! xxoh and no, i haven't tried bay leaves before? do you grind them and then burn them? |

This was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure that's where I got it. You could call and ask if it's a long drive. __________________ ...But for that fury How should I be rid of the slow death? How should I know That what a storm can do Is to terrify my roots And make me new? ~ Brendan Kennelly ~ |

I'm glad to read all of these uses for mugwort. I was given 3 small bags of it last year by 3 different people and I had no idea what to do with it. They said to use it to cleanse my scrying mirror- but I thought I was supposed to be making a wash out of it- It makes more sense to burn it, I just for some reason didn't think to do that
