http://www.tarotforum.net/attachment...5&d=1344317010 This KEY version is my very favorite out of all the ones you posted, dear Lyn. None of the others are even a close second. ![]() It really appeals to me a lot! http://www.tarotforum.net/attachment...4&d=1344309347 I like the one on the left. To me the Key should have a clear directionality. __________________ Either the Darkness alters, or something in the sight Adjusts itself to Midnight, And Life steps almost straight. ~ Emily Dickinson |

but the rose is too big.i still like this one best: http://www.tarotforum.net/attachment...5&d=1344317010 If it was slightly color corrected [ going just a tad brighter]... i love all the textures in this card. __________________ Can I come back and see you sometime?" My sis, i just tweaked the version 3 to be brighter, etc. and you can see it at thebottom of this post... Thank you for your comments, sis... Quote:
Alta, i am really torn between all these versions...but i think that the one you likeand the one MoonGypsy likes are probably runners up. i made the rose smaller, however i could not save the whole image...too much to reconstruct and it didn't look right when i finished it, so i ditched the whole image...but kept the rose and you can see yet 'another' version i just did (at the bottom of this post)...i really loved that photo though and wish i could have used it..but everything messes up when you rework it! ![]() i just hope you like one of the new ones...and i did keep the same rose you liked on one of the versions below... Thank you so much for commenting Alta...i do like to hear what you think... Quote:
LOL, sis, i do like that one a lot too...i am now getting kind of torn between the versions LOL ...but i did tweak version 3 that you liked best...what do you think now after seeing the new version? Thank you sis... Quote:
Penthasilia, i love that photo too, the colors, everything, but i couldn't get the keyto look clear enough and the rose does kind of overpower it...i tried to make the key larger and more clear (some of it is blurred slightly) and it just messed up the whole photo. One thing i don't like about this one though, is that there is a 'book' in the image and i don't like putting in 'main objects' from another card because i have seen several lennie decks that have confused their cards (and readers) by doing that. So i am really trying to be careful in this deck. i have passed up some really gorgeous photos because they repeated 'main' images from other cards. There is a new version with this same rose (below)... Thank you, my friend, for your comments...i like hearing them... Quote:
Well, now, Skydancer, that makes more people that like version 1 than the one my sis likes......and now...i like both, plus the new one too! LOL... Thank you for your comments... @everyoneWell, the magic is coming back because (in my sleep) all night i was working on lennie cards! LOL Regarding the Key card...Now i am in love with '3' different versions Ha Hai will post them below so you can see the ones i like... Lyn which one will it be?

Still in love with the one on the left. And I really don't think the book detracts since it is so light and blends well with the background. That one still has my vote, and heart! The middle one is my second favorite.

Still like the one on the left. Not sure why, to me it has a slightly mysterious quality. __________________ Either the Darkness alters, or something in the sight Adjusts itself to Midnight, And Life steps almost straight. ~ Emily Dickinson |

I gave much consideration to all the versions of the Key Card and here is my opinion: The version 1: just doesn't work for me. The rose is too big and this is the "key" card thus the Key must be the focal point. The thing is we are not talking about a pretty picture but a pretty picture that is a "Lenormand" card that we are going to read....Therefore, I agree with you Lyn, there has to be a focus on the subject of that particular Lenormand card or we would be missing the point. That is why version 1 doesn't work for me. Version 3: I like that one but the background might be too busy and above all the key looks like it is floating and the rose also (just a bit less than the key). Version 5: this is the one that for me is the best. Even though I liked the style of the 1st key or even the one in the 3rd version better; the style of that other key is still looking antique and beautiful too. The rose is well proportioned and there just as an accent to the picture while letting to Key be the focal point so that is great. The lace works very well also and the overall is matching with the Shabby Chic style. ![]() For the book, yes, it is a shame that it is a book and that the Lenormand has a book card but if you can't work around that one I believe it will work out nonetheless because it is not really showing as "a book", if you find a box that you like and can place instead of the book that will solve everything but if you can't like I said, it will work nonetheless. ![]() So that was the way I see it, now it is up to you
