Faerie Wicca? Absolute total junk. The ugliest minors in Deckdom, just hideous. I have no idea how the same artist managed to create those beautiful Courts! And take a look at the Hierophant...now it's got a pair of cutsey Elders enticing you into a lovely medieval castle with a huge picture window????? Got gingerbread?
If you check it out on line, you'll see that the Author's organization smells suspiciously cult-like.

I love the Dark Grimoire, but if you're new-ish to Tarot, you might find it hard to read with and figure out.

Madenie - no question; it is awesomely lovely and the closest I will ever get to owning a genuine early deck. Even the packaging makes you want it. It is very nearly very perfect, as our choir conductor is fond of saying.

Oh dear Magpie...you made me sputter black tea....... sorry!! It's just that I found the Hierophant very comical when I saw it (have hardly looked at the deck, the minors put me off because of the black *f* word on the Aers.... *shudder*...... Ok I guess it can happily go on the for sale pile!!! I asked twice as I said it was a gift and I was hoping someone may enable me but, I cannot see me using it.... I dont like the way the book reads either, thougn it is a cool looking book compared to most LWB's.....

Thank you!

That's exactly why I want it. Not only is it a stunningly beatiful deck, faithful to the Marseille tradition, but it actually COMES from Marseille.

Does yours have the 'ghosting' effect on the cards? How do the cards feel? Is it absolutely exquisite to hold in your hands?

I don't even know why I am asking these questions when I already know I will absolutely die if I don't own it.

So I just consider them decorated and try not to get too confused by all that. Some of them do relate,it's just that you can't count on it.
It's worth the trouble of figuring out how you deal with decorated pips.
The pips don't scare me. They excite me. The thing I like most about this deck, aside from the glorious artwork, is the fact it was released shortly before RWS, so doesn't have all of the later Golden Dawn attributions. Did you trim yours or do you like the borders?

The borders are OK. Simple, neat, not excessive. I haven't trimmed because I am so amazingly bad at it. I trimmed a Wildwood, and it Wept Then I Wept. We Wept Together. It's currently with a friend who's good at this stuff who thinks she may be able to get the cards all to about the same size...close enough for shuffling, anyway.
I figure it'll end up as a mini-deck.

Wildwood

My friend trimmed her wildwood...she did it really well.. I would trim but only if the cards were bigger.. they should be bigger in that deck! My Archeon is driving me nuts, it looks great trimmed (saw some images online) but its sooooo tiny then.

Tarot of the Master by Vacchetta

Ok then I knew I was going to have to buy the Tarot of the Master, but talking to someone who already has it just makes me want it all the more. I have the tools needed to trim the nasty borders and keywords off of the LS decks. The LS Classic turned out beautifully, even if it feels a bit narrow with ALL of the white borders gone. I think the Tarot of the Master will be PERFECT once it's borderless. The artwork is truly amazing and the pips are like an unexpected bonus.

Don't give up on your Wildwood just yet. You may end up loving it even more once it is finished. Oh no, am I enabling now?
