Yes, a mugwort wash is the traditional method for cleansing a scrying mirror.

Mugwort mochi

There is also a delicious bedtime snack that contains mugwort. Mugwort Mochi! It is a japanese treat made from brown rice & mugwort. Baked or fried it puffs up into little crunchy, chewy delights. The flavor is mildly sweet and a bit nutty and herbal. You can get it or order it from the health food store. One of my very favorite treats.

I have smoked mugwort and made tea with it and I second the recommendation to add another flavor herb such as lemon verbena, lemongrass, or even chamomile or lemon balm to help with the bitter, grassy taste.

Mugwort is in the same family as wormwood and also contains the psychoactive ingredient thujone which is toxic in large doses or under prolonged intake. The thujone in wormwood is possibly what gave absinthe its psychedelic effects. A cup of tea is not strong enough to hurt you, but I would read up on thujone a little before I started taking mugwort (or any herb, really) daily.

Easy to find

I just found out that Mugwort is very easy to find here in my country. I think we even have lots of it growing wild in my province. Too bad it is too far from where I live.

I even ordered two plants of it from a local seller. She sells it for roughly $1/plant.

The seller told me that she just got the mugwort planted, so I asked her to deliver the plants to me after 2 weeks. Or until the plants are a bit matured enough to get leaves plucked out of it.

I'm planning to make tea, smoke, or burn it. And partner it up with the Moldavite that I'm about to receive in 2 weeks.

I just can't wait till I see the result of this crazy thing that I am about to do. =)

Mugwort and moldavite should be interesting. I managed to stop at one of the Whole Foods stores but not the other. And the other looks at least from the outside bigger. (so maybe after work) The one I stopped at sadly has no mugwort. I know there's still e-bay but I don't even know if this will do anything for me.

I had not been remembering any dreams for several months and as I usually dream in colour was missing them badly. Last night I made tea with one rounded teaspoon of mugwort using one of those tea infuser spoons. I swished it around for a couple of minutes in a teacup of boiling water and added about a teaspoon of agave honey. Delicious! I didn't find it too bitter at all - in fact not even as bitter as chamomile ..... and - it worked! Great lucid dreams that I was able to remember and write down this morning.

I'm not planning to use it every day though, maybe once or twice a month.

ask and you shall receive : )

Recently I moved and discovered there's a health food store right around the corner, complete with fresh produce. I kept thinking of this thread but couldn't remember which herb it was....and here it is staring me in the face...mugwort : )

I don't care to lucid dream but I would love to dream in color. And I will heed all the precautions shared here if I get my hands on some mugwort.
