Massage? Wands and Balls?

I used the double question marks because I'm not 100% sure about these things. They're smooth, of various stones, but... are they meant for reflexology? Would I be able to use them on myself- let's say, my feet after a long day at work? Small end or larger end or flat sides on the bar shaped 'wands'? Do you feel a difference depending on the type of stone used for your massage?

i myself never had hot stone therapy but i hear it's wonderful in that the heat soaks deep into the muscle. As far as trying to do it on your own, i wouldn't know what stones work best and at what temperature would be safe.

I love using my smokey quartz massage wand (rounded ends) for reflexology. I'm a massage therapist and use it on my clients and they love it! Smokey quartz is wonderful for the feet and the legs. If I have a knot on my foot I'll use the smaller end. If my feet feel generally sore I use the larger end. I'll also roll the wand along my shins and calves as well as my feet. Smokey quartz is great for drawing negative energy out of the body. It also helps you ground to the Earth star chakra and connects you to Mother Earth. This crystal is also balances the Root chakra.

You can use clear quartz on your hands. Again the smaller rounded points I'll use on my hyperthenar (thumb) muscle and it feels wonderful, especially after a full day of massages.

Yes, by all means, use them on yourself, all the crystals have different qualities. I suggest looking online. I like this website when I'm not reading one of my crystal books: http://www.healing-crystals-for-you....ng-stones.html

You can use the bar style wands in a more lightly-brushing-stroking kind of way. The rounded off wands work better for deeper work in my experience.

I hope this helps.

Oohhh. oh ho ho!

Really now? Thumbs you say? I do alot of typing so that would be pretty darned fantastic for loosening up my thumbs.

Missmaree, do you use them heated at all? (Afraid to break a stone that way!) Also, do you use the full bar or would you recommend the ones that are slightly carved but have a wide handle sort of part? Curiouser and curiouser.

@Nightsong, I have had a hot stone massage done, and it is wonderfully relaxing. The stones were not hot though, just warm, like a hot water bottle feels like or just pleasantly warm, is the best way I can describe it - so they were not heated for long! It takes two people to do it, because you have to be lying down on your stomach when someone else places them along your spine at the right intervals...the spa person used very round, very flat rocks for this

Kosjitov, I would use different wands associated to different things for healing - for example, a clear and purple fluorite wand for cleansing away chaotic thoughts and energy patterns around the temple area, and green stone wands like Vesuvianite or green Dalmation Jasper for the heart chakra area etc - perhaps use the colour guide of chakras to find the correct wands for the areas you intend to massage?

Went to the store that I frequent. Last time I was there they had jade massage balls. Figured it would be good for my heart chakra and do double duty as they worked out part of my back. Store was running a b1g1 50% off... and apparently they were gone *v.v No massage wands in stock.
