You've been working around the clock Lyn! It took time but I have now caught up with your creation!

Here are my votes:

The Ship Do you see me dancing my little jig??? oh, I so love it! yes it is my favorite subject!!! and you have done it beautifully!! I like it better going left for the look of the pic, it just doesn't look right going right...I see your point of going to the future but it doesn't seem to agree with this particular picture.

The house: #5 but with the lighter flowers it gives such a delicate accent

I still think this is the best card for the deck, it has it all the Shabby Chic, the inviting house...the house meaning speaks of security, in every way, that house is not only a haven but also means you are doing perfect with your life, you are prosper (doesn't necessarily means wealthy) and this house shows it all.


The Key #7C that keeps the original wooden door is awesome it does give some Shabby chic to the original pic...I can't help but love the magical touch in it but yeah, it is true that it might look a bit like Ciro's style...
So, if we can't have it, I stick with the #5 and I like the version B better, I don't know there is more Shabby Chic style, I like the little accent on the key and the key is positioned even better and is even more the focal point. Thus Key 5 B for me!

The Anchor #2 I love it, like MoonGypsy I think that if the reddish tone on the anchor could have been "rust" tone it would have been great but even without I this Anchor, the sky is great, it brings a "glow" to the card that I really love making it luminous...Now version 4 makes you sense even more the "stability" meaning of the card but it is too stern, the luminosity is gone and it lost its charm...It would need some light, some joy also because when life is stable that brings peace and happiness...it lacks Shabby Chic, if we take version 4 there is a need to do these changes, make it a happier card and add some flowers and light
Thus, for the Anchor I can't really give a definite vote...it'd be version 2 or 4 revamped

The Clover
It is the first one!!! I that 1st version! Because it is Shabby Chic the picture has something about it, it has character and also you can clearly see the leaves. Thus #1 it is for me

Hope that I didn't forget anything....my time is almost up, so I'm gonna move on to the other things I've not been able to do! If not tomorrow see you again Thursday!

...and actually (when i look at all the images side by side, the anchor version 4 looks the best...
but i will need to liven it up and cheer it up as LadyZelda suggested. So it looks like we might
be headed towards version 4 (i will rework it) as our choice for the deck.

Today, i have been working on sorting through my files and card images and getting them
ready for the 'traditional card' folder as well as the 'special deck' folder with all the extras.

Here is what i am thinking of doing... when all the cards are done...i will use a template
of a layout (grand tableau) sheet and will put in ALL 36 cards...they will be really small so
i can post it on AT, but you will be able to get a peek at how they all look together overall...
and i will have a 'second' GT sheet with just the extra cards...so you can see what they are
and how they look overall with the deck as well. That won't happen until i finish about 10 more
cards and that includes reworking the anchor card... only 10 to go!

I like the brightness of the anchor too, it looks red. It just clashes a little bit with the bright sky and might look better with a darker background for some contrast. If not, the version 2 of the card does work fine.

ok, nevermind that! I just read on, and I love anchor #3. The redness of the anchor needed contrasts well with the blue background, but without the pink clouds as in #1.

My favorite letter is letter #1 (although it does not seem to be a popular choice). I really really love it for some reason. I find being able to read the words, such as in #6 and #7, to be distracting. Also, the feather in #7 has that fake and floating appearance. Of the other style, I think I like #5 second best. It's hard to tell as the way the letters overlap over the gloves looks collaged, and a little more so in letter #3 I think because there are two edges of the letter overlapping the gloves.

Clover #1 - I like this one the best. I don't like #2, the plant is too far away and you can't really tell that it is clover. #3 works as well, but I like the contrast with the stones in #1 as it makes the leaves more prominent.

Whew!!! This is the final anchor! i had to 'literally' 'build' this one from 'parts' of other anchors!!!
...same with the chain! very tiring but i believe it is now 'Shabby Chic'

...only '9' cards to go now...

Don't hate me, but I like all of the other anchors more. This one looks too put together, none of the different elements are meshing together for me. Feel free to ignore me though as I'm just a guy who somehow ended up in a thread about shabby chic stuff. I guess it depends on if you prefer things that look realistic vs. things that look collaged. I'm not very fond of the photo-collage look.

i get it garmonbozia, you are a guy like you said, and Shabby Chic may not be for you
as i have noticed that you usually do not like many of the other images that i or the gals do...

This IS a collaged deck basically. But you are so welcome to comment here as long as you want to and
now i do see where you are coming from...so no problem, my friend...

Regarding the white anchor (last version), i have already decided that the 'white' anchor
will be in the deck because it IS much more Shabby Chic looking than the others, but i am
looking through a woman's eyes, a woman that has Shabby Chic furniture and stuff all over her own house

Back for a tiny bit! Well, I'm at the library again tried my laptop and it crashed again at start up! The windows come up but crash...I am now on safe mode with networking to try to see if I can find a fix...things is it starts perfect in safe mode which means there is no problem with the Windows nor the drivers. Anyhow, I could not resist and had to check the thread But with safe mode the resolution is in purpose distorted which makes it difficult to say something about the card.

Thus, I won't be able to give a 100% opinion on the cards...

Anchor Version 4 B seems to be just right now it is cheerful and Shabby Chic it goes very with the other cards So I think that if I like it "distorted" I should be delighted with it when I'll view it normal

For the Letter card for sure I don't like the very last one in the mail box.
Letter version 8 is not for me and actually yesterday I tried so hard to hurry up to fit in the timing the library gives me that I made a mistake about the letter card!

It was not version 7 but version 6.

Let me explain why:

The letter card is "news" that we receive...thus I don't think it is good to have a quill or any form of writing tools...It must be an open letter meaning you get news. So IMO, version 7 or 9 don't work.

For me it will be version 3 or version 6

someone else who also liked letter #1 said it looked gothic (I think it was Skydancer?), but i agree it is probably not very shabby chic. It doesn't necessarily feel gothic to me but (it's pretty damn cool though) it definitely has a different mood to it.

LadyZelda, it is awful to go through computer woes and i hope you were able to get
your problems fixed. How did that go today with Microsoft helping you with it? i can hardly
wait until both you and MoonGypsy gets back here more often again missed you both posting so much

i have you down for the the latest version of the Anchor...it was quite a job piecing the
whole anchor together...but it came together nicely at the end...and is THE ONE for the deck for sure!

Okay, i need to explain the white anchor version:
You said 'tweak it'...but i am not sure exactly if you want it toned down or toned up...
As far as the 'lighter green' in the center of the wave, i can't tweak that any more or it
looks totally off...tried it already! It is the best it is going to get i think.

i have you down for the Clover version 1... that one is the one that has gotten the most votes so far!
Oh, and i forgot to mention about the Clover version 1 that there is a large '4 leaf clover'
right in the center of the plant...did you see it? i created it and put it there for good luck!!!
So when you see that, when you read with card, you can think of me sending good luck vibes to you (and everyone)...continually!'

Regarding the key:
i have put you down for key version 5 with the little flowers i painted on the key...it does
look really shabby chic for sure. But do you still like version 3? (i was actually thinking of
putting it in the special deck as an extra key...what do you think? Or is version 5 enough for you now that i revamped it?)

But i think versions 3 and 6 are the winning the vote so far...
And below i have posted 3 and 6 combined into a new card...also i have made two more versions
of the letter just in case...

Regarding the red anchor...no one else likes it besides yourself...so it may not get in as an
extra card in this deck
but i may be able to use it in my pink lennie deck coming up It is really colorful but i don't
think it fits into this deck's theme well. Hope i didn't disappoint you too much
