My question:
I´d like you to think about a crystal for me for the upcoming and rather demanding period at work (Sept-Oct). I will give lectures daily and while I like it it also makes me a bit nervous. I´m in charge of a rather big course and aside from the lectures itself I also worry and wonder if I´ve remembered all the practical details that it includes. (I can give you more details in pm)

My birthstone/special stone: Aquamarine is my birthstone and as you know I also particularly love pearls

Hi Hemera! I am very happy to be your partner for the crystal exchange. I already know which crystals I am thinking will help your situation one in particular leapt to mind immediately as I read your post.

I will revisit tomorrow and give you all the details for the three stones I have chosen for you, ok? I am still unpacking and reorganizing myself from my trip, and I want to be "all there" when I do your reading! lol!

My question for you is: I would like to begin painting again and will start this week (hopefully). I have been on hiatus for a while and so I will need some stones to help me get my creative mojo back, and to help me make my work successful I will be very excited to see what you come up with!

Hi Hemera! I have chosen the crystals Sodalite, Pearl and Fluorite for your stressful weeks at work that are coming up

These crystals are all soothing ones, and Sodalite imparts ability to speak well in front of groups of people. Pearls give self-esteem, and Fluorite calms stress and takes away any vibrations of chaos, and so will be good for keeping everything on an even keel. And so I feel that these three crystals will be the best for you to wear and to meditate with. I think it will be important for you to keep them on you at all times, and I think it is very important to first cleanse them, and then tell them of your intention of use - and then charge them in the moonlight if possible...if not, then charge them on a matrix (clear or amethyst) crystal. These are all soft-ish stones on the Mohs scale so I would not advise putting them in salted water or in the direct sunlight.

Pearls can easily be cleansed and charged by placing them on a table top at night, then putting a ring of sea salt around them but not touching them. Draw out small lines of salt going towards the pearls (but still not touching them) so that you have a ring of salt with prong-like lines inside the circle, like a wheel with spokes, aimed at the pearls...this will remove negativity. In the morning, dispose of the sea salt and rinse it down the drain. Then make another ring of sea salt around the pearls, but draw the prong-like lines outwards and away so that you have a ring of salt with all the lines outwards. This will draw good energies into your pearls without damaging them in any way! You can use this method effectively with all stones

According to Cassandra Eason's book on stones, Sodalite is good for relieving racing pulse and nervous tension. It is also a stone that is good for mature women. It is associated to the brow and the throat chakra. She says that Sodalite is the ultimate calming crystal

It is the stone used by tribal Wise Women

It is the speaker's stone, as well as the writer's stone. It aids one to choose the correct words for any situation, and is related to logic and thought processes. It is a lovely stone, as it is dark to paler indigo blue, with white streaks and patches.

According to the Healing crystals site, ( http://www.healing-crystals-for-you....ite-stone.html ) the author had this to say about Sodalite:

"Sodalite Stone has a strong vibration that will bring your attention to the qualities of idealism and truth. Its energy may stimulate you to live up to your own ideals and ideas... about the nature of truth.

It has strong metaphysical properties that may stimulate latent creative abilities and it aids teachers, writers and students to understand the deeper philosophical principles.

Its energy is particularly helpful to aid the development of psychic abilities, and with developing intuition. It is excellent to aid communication and may help you if you are doing public speaking."

I think you should put your Sodalite stone in an upper chest pocket, on a chain around your throat with the pearls, tucked into your bra on the top left side, or in your hand as you speak. The closer the stone is to the chakra area it is meant to help, the stronger it will be. Many pieces of Sodalite can be found made as "worry stones" so they are flat and smooth and meant to fit in the hand.

Pearls: According to Cassandra Eason again, Pearls "form a connection between our body rythms and those of the natural cycles of the moon and the seasons, and so are very helpful for work-related burn out or stress overload and will prevent it from recurring".

Pearls relate to the Heart and Sacral chakras.

Ms Eason also states that pearls enhance self-esteem, and aid one in building a sense of individual self. She also states that they represent integrity and tradition, both useful in the teaching/speaking forum. The meditational empowerment for the pearl is "Good fortune surrounds me".

In regard to Fluorite...Well, I inititally thought you should be using Haemetite to ground you, but my gut kept insisting on Fluorite, so there it is. I am sure you can use Haemetite if you prefer, as it will give you invulnerability and a sense of speaking the absolute truth, as well as keeping your feet firmly planted...But!

Fluorite comes in a few different colours. For you I have chosen yellow Fluorite (can range from bright yellow to a lovely mellow light green). Ms. Eason states, (in my words): Emotional healing imparted by this fluorite - Good for reducing or eliminating self-defeating behaviours, such as constantly comparing oneself unfavourably to others; reduces any jealousy brought about through insecurity and lack of self-belief.

It counteracts overabundance of compassion and so will impart a healthy view of situations and people. Helps you to obtain objectivity in all things, and so aids to balance the intuition with logic. She goes on to say that it is an excellent stone for gentle and spiritual people, as it imparts logic and directs the intellect and effort into tangible achievements; and to have it in the workplace to encourage cooperation and open-mindedness.

All colours of Fluorite aid in keeping everything calm and reducing feelings of chaos or panic. Makes everything clear and easy to understand

Here is your reading. I hope you´ll find something in it that you can use

The crystals I am thinking about are yellow, blue-green and pink. Citrine, Aventurine (blue or green) and Rose Quartz.

The first one that came to my mind at once after I read your question was Citrine. The active and warm yellow is excellent for enhancing and unlocking creativity and I have used it for that purpose for more than 10 years now. It is indeed “solid sunshine” as I read somewhere (in C. Eason?-although she seems to think it is a good crystal for bedwetting as well ) A Finnish Crystal book (by Anne Hietanen 2004) says Citrine helps to find new solutions to old problems and helps us think outside the box. Isn´t that exactly what we need in creativity! It strengthens one´s self worth, spreads joy and energy and helps one to see things from another perspective.

Aventurine came to me after meditation. I first thought about the green one that I have and that I kept it in my palm while I meditated. It started to turn more towards blue in my mind so maybe you have a blue one? Or maybe a blue one might work better? I checked C. Eason´s Crystal Bible and there is a very dark blue Aventurine with the empowerment: “ I open myself to infinite possibility” Sounds pretty good, doesn´t it? It is a stone for adventure (the name probably comes from that?) and I think it might be an interesting one to try. It also helps one think outside the box. They would both (green and blue) go well together with Rose Quartz and Green Aventurine is often used together with Rose Quartz for healing and opening up.

I recently found Rose Quartz to be stronger that I had thought. You might add that to the mix and try it? It might still be too subtle for what you need right now, though, but it would enhance the effect of the others and add gentle warmth to the mix.

Thank you for the reading you have posted for me. I am going to town later this week and I will buy a piece of Fluorite and Sodalite. (Or maybe order online as I need something else as well) They sound like the kind of crystals I need to have in my collection!

That's a great reading! Lol! You won't believe this but just yesterday night I put on all my citrines I felt very "thirsty" for them, and it was before I read this! lol!

I will have to go get some Aventurine - I love both the green and the blue, but blue is very tempting as to rose quartz, I don't have an afinity for it, but I will try I have been charging my pendant for a long time now, so maybe it is stronger. I can tuck that one near my heart in my clothing. I will go on Wednesday to get the Aventurine. I do have a chunk, but am using it for my dog's fear of thunderstorms! lol!

It's funny, I just *knew* you'd add Rosie to the mix! lol! I hope she can help me As all who have reported on it here say it is good for dreaming, I will enjoy working that out and seeing if it is true!

I cannot say yet whether this combo will work, so I will do a meditation when I have all three stones and see if I can connect and I will post my findings here. Hemera, I went to the crystal store today and got a large chunk of raw pink quartz (still palm sized, it will fit in a pocket) and I also got blue Aventurine. The girl at the store is extremely knowledgeable about the composition of the stones, and she told me that blue aventurine is actually blue quartz, which I did not know! Blue Aventurine simply has more Dumortierite in it, which gives it that darker colour

In any case, I got the blue Aventurine (interesting, it is also said to protect one against psychic attack - so that was good to know, as I happen to need that just now! So thanks!♥) as well as the blue quartz. So i am now armed (and clanking! lol!) with a citrine bracelet, a citrine pendant, a citrine ring, blue Aventurine, blue quartz, and a raw rose quartz with a rich dark colour of pink hopefully it works better than my washed-out pink quartz pendant.

I have done some meditation with the Citrine already, and I must note here that it has indeed given me more physical energy - a start! Now, to see if it can help me think outside the box, and get to my creativity (though it seems to be helping in that regard, with other issues, already!) Yay I am excited!

ROFL, I almost spat my coffee on the keyboard after reading this

I´m off to town today and tomorrow and I will get both Fluorite and Sodalite.

And after reading about blue Aventurine (in your post and in the Crystal Bible) I decided I want that, too I only have a green tumbled Aventurine now. (Oh, it´s quartz? That is interesting. I didn´t know that either.)
