How do cards get reversed?

Hello everyone. Like the title says I am wondering how cards get reversed. I did a reading for my sister last night as she is kind enough to be a practice quarent for me. I gave her the deck to shuffle focusing on clearing her mind and then on her question. All cards were face up when I gave her the deck but still when laying the cards one was reverse. Any thoughts as the reverse card made perfect sense.

well I read tarot with reversals so during shuffling I deliberately have some cards turn. However what is interesting is that with my Oracle decks I don't do reversals and there is cards reversed somehow! I think its a totally unconscious thing, like some cards fall out or you pick some cards and then put them back (accidentally) the wrong way round.

I "don't do reversals" either, but very occasionally one will find its way in. As I read well-dignified or ill-dignified meanings from uprights anyway just going on gut feelings, when a card spontaneously reverses in an upright deck, I take it that that particular card is the most important card on the table. I take it as a Cardboard Shout.

Yea it was really cool to see especially being the eight of cups reversed changing it from running away from a path of correction to taking it head on with confidence.

It happens to me, too. I figure I'm still early on in my Tarot journey, so for now I typically don't read reversals. However, if one just pops up, I will go ahead and read it reversed just b/c I figure it's "wanting" to be read that way.
