I like to chant phrases that mean something to me to Gregorian Chant type sound.... it moves me so much..... I would love to learn it..... the language of an old latin mass is beautiful imho....

This morning on my walk to work, this mantra came to me for the Death card:

Gobinde, mukunde, udare, apare
Hariang, kariang nirname, akame

(Sustainer, Liberator, Enlightener, Infinite
Destroyer, Creator, Nameless, Desireless)

I'm not sure if it entirely fits everyone's idea of the Death card, but I try not to ignore my intuition in these things. Transformation. Rebirth. Hariang, Kariang. I also really like the idea of Death being nameless and desireless.

Temperance -- Om ram ramaya namaha -- This mantra seeks to balance the two currents (ra - solar, ma - lunar) that run through the body

Hanged Man -- Shante prashante sarva bhaya upashamani swaha -- I surrender the quality of fear to the universe. (The idea of releasing fear to be dissipated)

Moon -- Sat chid ekam Brahma -- May I become one with the truth of the entire cosmos

Star -- Om asatoma sat gamaya, tamasoma jyotir gamaya, mritorma amritam gamaya -- Lead us from the not-true to the true, from the darkness to the light, from fear of death to eternal life.

Sun -- Om hiranya gharbaya namaha -- Om to the golden-colored Shining One

I must share something about Kali and Death with you that's humorous though. I ordered the Yoga Tarot from Lo Scarabeo and it arrived today. Guess who is represented on the Death card with Skull mala beads around her neck?! :O My jaw dropped. I only saw a couple images of the cards online, but not of the Death card! I felt so drawn to the images and being a yoga teacher, I had to get the deck. It's so beautiful!!

However, the last couple of days, I was thinking about your connection with Kali and the Tower and I completely see Kali fitting there too. After seeing Kali on the Death card in the Yoga Tarot I just had to laugh since I've been working with both lately, how perfect tha my newest deck represents the two as one. No wonder I kept feeling this so strongly!

Thanks again for posting all of your mantras, I'm enjoying your selections and the inspiration of the joining of mantra with Tarot!
