Mountain -- version 2!!

ETA: you really should work in a mimosa tree somewhere - some of my most cherieshed memories are of playing under the mimosa tree in my grandma's front yard when I was little. It was next to a pear tree that I would climb ...

It was post 343 where "gothic" was mentioned that made me think Skydancer was talking about that card since Version 1 was mentioned.

What final version of the letter was decided upon?

storks version 3?? The one where they're up in the tree??
Oh- I didn't care so much for that one.

And the letter? Which one of these is making the final cut??

Thus....

My vote for the tree card is: The tree version 2

And for the Mountain:

I vote for Mountain version 2! it is an awesome pic!!!

I love that type of mountain looks like an asian mountain, is it???? I like it because it is right there in your face, so you get the point right away, the meaning of the Mountain Card is so obvious with that pic! and I love the surroundings also...

Now for my PC problems:

Well it is not a virus or malware etc...I did 2 full scans one with Micro essentials as it is also my antivirus and works very well, and another with a Micro scan for malware that you download from their sites.
My problem doesn't seem a big one even if it is quite annoying. I can't visibly close my lid without messing up. If I do I can't restart my Pc. today was worse than yesterday even though yesterday I had done some cleaning with another software I got online... when I tried to start my laptop it went on black screen and asked for the installation Cd but I didn't get one when I bought my laptop...Still I had done my windows 7 recovery cds but they didn't work on that screen...so, after trying all in vain, I just forced shut down and forced a Safe mode startup; then I shut it down with the shut down button and start it up again and all went well, because I have no problem as long as I shut it down with the button. And that is how I'm now able to post!
In short, I can't anymore shut the lid of my laptop unless I have shut down the laptop the regular way. I called Best Buy and they told me to bring it on Monday and some of the tech guys will look at it. If it is simple and he can do it quickly over the counter they won't charge me, if it requires more attention they will tell me how much and if it is too much for me well I guess I will just reformat the whole D---N thing!
Wow, LadyZelda, so the problem is that you have to shut down windows operating
system before you can close your laptop... that is exactly how i turn off my laptop and
never thought of just closing the lid. I never heard of doing it the way you usually do it.
That is probably what happened. You need to shutdown then close the lid once the computer
turns off...if i understood your post. That must be so irritating for you! i think you might
have to take that into the shop to fix it...yikes...

i have put you down for the tree version 2
and the mountain version 2 (surprise! It has a tiny Mimosa tree in the card at the bottom)...see it?
...for you...LOL

Thanks sis...i put you down for the mountain version 2...that one really shows
the size of the mountain because of the little buildings, etc.

Skydancer, i put you down for the Mountain version 2...and there is a Mimosa tree
in it at the bottom...small, but it is there...LOL ...i will try to work this tree in the remaining cards if i can
Thank you, hon, for your votes!

ETA: i mean't i would work a Mimosa tree into 'one' of the remaining cards...not all of them LOL

Anyway, garmonbozia, it is does look Gothic with the stone table or mantle (?) that the letter is on...
i do like it and too bad it doesn't gel with the theme of this deck!

Skydancer, i think that the letter that has the most votes right now is version 6...

But as soon as i am done with creating the cards that are left, i will print out this thread
and reread everything and count all the votes...and i will make a summary post and it
will show the picks and also the extras...i will put in the 'max' allowed (at the printers) of extra cards.

No, number 3 are the brightly colored ones by the water. I didn't like the tree one either, those storks are ugly.

little update...

i will be back as soon as i can... to create another card...i was busy working with my new web
editing software (slight learning curve )... i have mastered that now and
i need to stop long enough to clean house as i have a service man coming tomorrow regarding
getting my fireplace ready for the coming winter...i still need to clean some ashes out of it , etc.

So when i am done with that AND vacuuming, dusting, etc. then i will think about
the next Shabby Chic card to make...only seven to go!!!

These are the cards i have left to create:

6. The Clouds
7. The Scythe
11. The Whip/Rod/Broom
22. The Crossroads/Path
24. The Heart
30. The Lilies
32. The Moon

LOL...Skydancer, i don't think pantries have windows

i have a great broom for the whip card...but i also think there should be a whip too somewhere
in the card...not sure how or even if can work them both into the card...we will see...

...i am pondering the last 7 cards... and checking my already collected photos and experimenting
to see which ones might work for me. i can do more tomorrow afternoon as i need to get to
sleep early tonight (hopefully anyway! )

Okay...i am ready now to post some versions of the WHIP/BIRCHROD card...

The first two look the same...except the birch broom is different

And the last one is for Skydancer that wanted: a kitchen 'pantry,' 'windows with curtains', and 'flowers'...
The only thing is that the broom and whip had to be much smaller to get that whole kitchen scene in

Skydancer, this is about all i could come up with for you...unless you have a better photo of
what you are thinking?
